Well I am the last of the minmohicans. I started with a group of 17 people playing Eve. It was awsome. Now sadly the rest have all moved on to Wow, with a few going to anarchy online.
Now I have decided to do the same. I have tried the leapfrogging skill month, where you pay for a month and start a long skill train for the next after your subscription runs out, but no more.
But what about all my stuff?Mainly I have a character with over 16 mill. sp, but obviosly that can't go to anyone, but I also have ALL the stuff that the other corp mates left when they jumped ship. Many Battleships, mostly Megathrons and apocs. Mining barges, lots of bpo's and oodles and oodles of minerals. i wish that I could set myself up as an Npc so that I could make up missions that give that stuff as a reward. Anybody have any interesting ideas for liquidation? I want it to go to real players who want to stick with this game not beggers. Oh well, I guess it all just sits as code waiting to be called upon years down the road when the game has changed enough to call me back.

Being Minmatar brothers, you could transfer your assets to myself, to help me rid the universe of the evil scum that infest the spacelanes on Eve. Or you could um... fight concord? ;p

Well I wish you luck wherever the MMO road takes you. I gotta say, the road to WoW ends quickly, at least it did for me and 80% of my friends. I will happily take all the stuff off your hands Haha, well I gotta say hold on to at least one ship, just in case you decide to come back, and keep a fair amount of money. But besides that give it to someone you know you trust will be playing a long time.

Well, you didn't say you were going to give it away, but if you want to get rid of it, I'm a newer player thats been playing the game for about 7 1/2 months now, and have to say I don't see myself quitting anytime soon, so if you want this stuff to have a good home, then you can donate it to me. This game is seriusly awsome, but good luck with WoW.

Honestly, keep your stuff. You will be back here just like me. Yea, WoW is a great game, but Eve is better for longevity currently. Go to WoW, have fun and in 9 months you will be wanting to back here. When WoW expansion releases, i'll be back over there for a while... but I always seem to come back to Eve.

I have been playing for 3 years. If you give me all the stuff I will use it to provide homes and food for starving African children, build a whale sanctuary, and bribe the leaders of rogue terrorist states to put down their arms.

Yeah, I've quit the game about 6 times (one time for WoW). Just liquidate all your assets as best you can. When you come back in 3 months you'll have a ****load of money and be happy.

Keep your stuff, mate, keep it. I went to WoW myself after two years of EVE and i deleted my old character. Big mistake, i am back now after nearly a year of WoW and has to start it all over again, i wish i still had my old char and stuff. Keep it, you will be back.

Lol this is actually a cool idea. But about the coming back later, After some selling of minerals and ships and the money I inherited from other corpmates I have over 14 bill. so I would rather the BS's and barges and bpo's (plus I have 19 Thoraxes)go to someone who will use them. I have until August 8th to decide. I will probably give it to a corp in Heimetar (spelling ?) as I am based out of Dumkirinur.

Nobody NEEDS gifts. That is why they are called gifts. But if you had some stuff you couldn't use and someone else could, why wouldn't you let them have it?

Honestly m8, I could really use a Megathron. Not going to give a silly reason or make any claims that I deserve it or anything, but if you're going full frontal philanthropist, well, I could really use a Megathron.
:)
If you're looking for an entertaining reason, how about this?
"I need a Megathron so I can fly into Caldari space in style and pimp out my wife to Caldari leaders. This may sound like a bad deal for me, but she has a scorching case of Brockian Nano-Herpes, which she plans on passing onto the Caldari leadership. It's our way of helping the Gallentian war effort, attrition through sexually transmitted disease!"

Give it away in competitions and as prizes in puzzles. Just handing it to someone who asks on a forum is boring. Make 'em jump through a few hoops and bark like a dog.

Ebonheart, keep your stuff, you'll be back. If you're anything like most people I know you'll burn through WoW's content in 3 months or so and then when you realize PvP is meaningless and if you want some shiny new thing to be 1% better you'll have to go through the most boring end game content known to man with some of the biggest idiots known to man. Not so much fun.
So save your stuff, you'll need it in a few months.

This is what you do:
1.) Set high rank/level skill for training. Maybe pop 14$ to switch to other skills every now and then.
2.) Play WoW.
3.) Get bored of WoW.
4.) Come back to Eve.
5.) ???
6.) Profit.
If you're still, for some bizarre reason, intending to give away your items, I could use an Apocalypse , at least in the future when I get into level 4 missions. (I'm still doing level 2's, but I'll get there someday. )

Keep some of your stuff. I tried wow and ended up here :)
But eve radio would probably be happy for any donations. They have some really cool competitions where they give away nice prizes :)
You can find them ingame in the eve radio channel under the 'other tab' in channels and mailing lists.

Keep your stuff, I played WoW for 18 months and while I had plenty of fun I never could never go back, not after I finally got into EVE beyond just skill training and afk mining in high sec.

I only started playing EVE recently, and before that was trying to stick with WoW - "trying" because I'd reached the end game raids while back, had a break from frustration, gone back, had a break etc before I finally gave in and gave up.
So I agree with many of the other posters - keep your stuff, or at least keep more then enough stuff to keep you happy when/if you come back from WoW in 3->12months
That said, if you feel obliged to give things away, I'll gladly accept a random assortment of ores/minerals/modules/ships/bpos/spiced wine which I can refine badly/loose/break/crash/look forward to doing something with/drink (delete as applicable)
Either way, have fun in WoW - the "end" may not be great, but the journey there is a lot of fun, or at least it was for me.
