Can someone explain to me why exactly amarr ships are poor?

They have tons of advantages, but a few disadvantanges:
1. Few midslots (generally).
2. Restricted to EM/thermal damage types. (extremely bad against armor tanks using Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane IIs)
In many cases, their benefits outweight the disadvantages. In some cases, they don't.

get bonusses on ussage of lasers, benefits of lasers is that they work with frequency crystals. Those crystals don't get used up on shooting (not sure about T2 crystals), they are swapped out in 1s, not the 10s as all the other ammotypes.
Also amarr ship have great armor, and lots of lowslots. Wich makes them the best armor tankers in the whole game.

1. Extremely high damage per second. 2. Very good tanks. 3. Good tracking for their range. 4. Can fit both good damage and good tanks at the same time due to massive number of lowslots. 5. Tons of useful PvP ships. 6. Never run out of ammo (if using tech 1). 7. Instant ammo swapping. 8. more but I'm too lazy to write

Edited by: Kaladr on 26/07/2006 20:40:49 There are some things which could be fixed about Amarr ships. -10% reduction per level to silly forum whiners wanting to make our ships like everyone elses ships is one I could think of. Putting thermal damage into radio crystals is another. Reducing fitting of some small and medium lasers is a third. The rest is probably fine.
Amarr ships are unique, same way other race ships are. You can't pretend you're a Caracal in an Omen. ---- EVE-Central.com - Cross-region market view and trade finder |

You can mine gold from their wreckage. j/k From a Minnie pilot, not having to carry oodles of ammo is kind of nice.

Edited by: Insidi Us on 27/07/2006 19:26:52 As I learned the hard way last night, T2 crystals do break after a certain amount of usage. I guess that's why they don't stack once they are called "used." Make sure to bring a replacement stack of new T2 crystals with you, or at least have them in a nearby station. ----------------- Information overload. |
