As announced by CNN this morning US air carriers are advised to avoid the area due to volcano ash and the possibility for alot more.

Airspace is still open just not around the fissure.
Ash will only be falling around the vents and there will be little of it even there. The lava erupting is not full of gas (gassy lava is what we got with Eyafghgaburgle) so it will be providing nothing more than a lava flow and will look very pretty.
