It's so ridiculous we can't believe it. And when you couple that with the extremely convenient timing things just look really shady.

However, i would really appreciate it if you could comment on the rest of my post as well. The part about why a large part of the community views you with a hostile eye. I don't generalise and i don't paint all people with the same brush. There's a bunch of loud mouthed forum warriors in every alliance out there. The reason you got yourselves in such trouble is that your public image is that of a 12 year old that's rampaging through the local super market dropping stuff off the shelves, only to start with the excuses when he's confronted by the store manager. Notice that i don't say you are this way, i say that is your public image. When you take an online community as big as goonfleet and "inject" it into another one (the general EvE public) there's bound to be some kind of friction. All i'm saying is that you have managed this very poorly and the average EvE player feels threatened by "the new guy with the nerve to try and ram his silly opinions down our collective throat". Why should you be the ones to manage it and not expect for the other dudes to take a step back? Simply because 2-3k of players in Goonfleet can't stand up to 10k disgruntled veteans in other alliances. Make no mistake, for some older players reputation is everything. If you manage to get the seal of an outcast, a lot will not only want to distance themselves from you, but also strive to have a part in your downfall. Again, i'm not touching the issue you and BoB are debating so fervently, i'm just trying to make you guys see that you brought this upon yourselves either willingly or due to inexperience, there will probably be no easy way out and your gaming time might take a turn for the not-so-enjoyable. I know because i've experienced what it is to face opponents that not only outnumber you, but have more experience as well. You single advantage thus far is numbers and it seems you are working your behinds off to negate that.

You are talking about an alliance that resets standing because it collects to many friendlies. The last thing BoB is guilty of is being worried about looking overly aggressive. That's what paints BoB's actions here as falsely-altruistic and entirely pre-meditated. I never liked 'the joke' nor particularly care for the portion of the goon community who do but 'the joke' is nothing more than an excuse to look good while trying to crush an alliance full of 2500 dedicated pilots who will be a lot more than an irritant in 6-12 months. Of course on one hand BoB says they don't need an excuse and don't care about public opinion, etc, and then The Big Blue gets taken out by proxy. What's a stake here for BoB is getting recognized as an alliance intent on crushing up and coming alliances and uniting their competition as a result. The memory of a sad event and the crap said about it is just a means to an end.

If only I'd had the self respect, no, THE CLASS, to see things as nobly as the morally pure BOB alliance. Jesus christ do you guys actually buy all of that? You're sadder than I thought. I hope you don't cry when we beat you at this space game with lasers.
