OP: I think I'll go to Old Man Star for a fair fight. World: LULZ! OP: Hey, another BC to engage. I'm sure it wants a one on one, so won't even bother asking. No way it's bait. World: LULZ! OP: I'm sure the rest of the people in local will stay out of this. World: LULZ! OP: Oh crap, others have joined the fight against me. If I ask for a one on one now, I'm sure they'll honor it. World: LULZ! OP: ...because they're in what I've heard is a 'leet PVP group... World: LULZ! OP: ...which means they're honorable. World: LULZ! OP: They're not honoring my one on one request! @#%&(%#&(@#!!! World: LULZ! OP: When I die I am so posting this in C&P. World: LULZ! |

Good day, Jin Shugo:
The Tusker Code from http://www.the-tuskers.info/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=63
"I don't engage in consensual PVP (1-vs-1's or duels), for I wish to engage others only on my terms, and other pilots may be dishonorable. But as for me, should I ever accept a 1-vs.-1 or a duel, I shall honor it."
Thank you.

Jin Shugo wrote:I was engaged in a fair 1 vs 1 in old man star tonight against a Tusker, when his buddies jumped in on what was an even fight, drake vs cane (both our shields were at around 50%). I requested 1vs1 in local (yes after the fight started), to which was answered with 5 vs 1, might have been 4 can't remember, but no matter. Consider otherwise before joining this well known corp they don't have any honor.
Not mad I lost, just wished these guys had the cahones to 1 vs 1 when it was requested. guess not, no different they any other pirates i guess. Cheers.
JS.
You are fair game to fleets when you don't ask for a 1v1 before a fight starts. You took the bait and now you are crying about it. http://spinthatdamnship.ytmnd.com/ |

Anyone looking for a "Fair" fight in Eve has lost already. The objective isn't to have fair 1v1's, but to bring the muscle and dispatch the other guy or guys before his mates show up and not take any losses. In low sec (where I presume this "Chivalry " exists, ) the last thing I'd do is look on local and see 5/6 guys all in the same corp and expect a 1v1.
Having never really hung out in low, does this stuff happen on a regular basis? The offers for 1v1's? If so, then I could easily sit in somewhere like Sendaya and have the boys on the gate in Doril for example. And if I could do that then rest assured that there's probably a bunch of folks doing that already I bet. So I would just suck it up, take the loss and learn from it- Just my two cents. -áThe Sideburns- Always Outnumbered- Never Outgunned. |

There is more to Eve PvP than simply taking someone down before his gang arrives....you can take down his gang when they arrive to back him up \o/
Asking for 1v1s is fairly common, but then again plenty of people come to Hevrice in search of a good fight, mostly in frigates. Also, fostering a reputation of accepting 1v1s (even informally) by deliberately downshipping and telling other (Tuskers) to stay away helps. Most of the time though, another Tusker ends up landing just to see how the fight's going.
Most of those offering them are weekend warriors and don't want to deal with the hassle of Amamake and Heretics camping gates/bringing ECM for a single person etc..

Confirming I am a weekend warrior and go to Hevrice for some fast and reliable frig fun. EU tz Tuskers seem active enough that I can get a quick fix by heading their way. I never actually ask for a 1v1 though... It somewhat implied by the frequency with with I go visit but I never assume I will get one :)
I also chat with them in their public channel but dont believe it grants me any special treatment. (a¦á_a¦â) ~ http://getoutnastyface.blogspot.com/ ~ (a¦á_a¦â) |

Hm you make a valid point - all of your recent kills appear to feature a Falcon in your gang.

One night, after a few too many beers, I thought it would be fun to scout for a low sec roam in a battle cruiser. The results were predictable and a good laugh was had by all. After saying good fight in local I had a friendly, mature, chat with one of the gents in the Tuskers and have had a great deal of respect for them ever since.
To the Op: If the Tuskers had agreed to a 1v1 not only would they have given it to you but they would have engaged anyone who tried to jump into the fight... |
