2006.07.31 19:01 The Establishment has declared war on Ushra'Khan. After 24 hours fighting can legally occur between those involved.
It seems that since the construction of the UNITY station in 9UY, Ushra'Khan seem to believe that they are finally making Northern Providence a safe haven for the law-abiding citizens of EVE and an unviable place for Pirates to be a major threat. The Establishment will not be subdued so easily in its own homelands.
As such, The Establishment has made a formal declaration of War against the Ushra'Khan Alliance in order to freely pursue all Ushra'Khan assets to the fullest extent of our power. This war will continue until such time as Ushra'Khan surrender to us on our terms, we ourselves are defeated or it no longer serves our best interests.
This concludes our statement.

Pirates have no right to call any land their home when all they do is shoot the visitors.
You will soon learn, like CCK did at the onset of their war with us, that the proespect of shooting us anywhere is easily turned on you too. Though I have trouble admitting it, I have more respect for the skill of your people over the likes of the CCK alliance.
Either way, you gave us just one more reason to turn our war machine on you in full for however long it takes. You may think you are ready for it. Trust me, you are not. ------

As former CEO of the corporation that administers the outpost, I find this rather laughable. I think you do not know what you are bringing down upon yourselves for you have just declared war on every neutral and friendly alliance and corporation who enjoys using Unity Station as a free port of call or rest stop, some of those groups including some of the largest alliances in Eve.

The Establishment is no stranger to hostility from everyone in the Galaxy. Our business affairs do not sit well with many of the "Morally Just" pod pilots we have encountered. Our entire life is the nature of the hunt and the kill. Not even the destruction of our Flagship vessel could deter us in the face of such odds.

Maggot overheard yet another pilot re-telling his dream about the EST Nyx. This was becoming comical. Even he had a vision only a few weeks ago. This was spreading like a virus.
"Well warriors, looks like you will be getting a real life glimpse of that ship quite soon"
Maggot increased the volume of the holo news girl as she reported on the war declaration.
U'K had already had two skirmishes with the beautiful but deadly Nyx. This time, he promised himself, he would try not to stare.

I do think we expected to be beaten by more then 4 days in the construction of a Mothership, but I do not think there is a shred of doubt in the Establishments mind that we will be the first to have one destroyed.
I mean for instance, how many people have used a Nyx to fly-by-smartbomb a pod before?
It will happen. And then Raw will suffer from heart-attack, and then our factionship kill/loss ratio will improve dramastically.

For Clarification:
Use of the term 'homeland' signifies our wish to wage this battle for territory, in which we shall surely prevail.
After what is surely going to be a short war our production team will grind into action deploying POS's for the purpose of moon-mining.
Future contracts for the purchase of said minerals will be available from the start of the war.
Please send all enquiries to Pylse.
Addendum:
We also wish to use this opportunity to reiterate our petition for the introduction of mining drones with larger yield and a carrying capacity suitable for the Mothership.
In pink.

The above represents my own views with the exception of moon mineral supply contracts. Thats P-Y-L-S-E.... **************************

What hogwash.
U'K are terrorists. They are criminals in their own right. So how criminals are supposed to be "makeing northern providence a safe haven for the law-abiding citizens" without actually being "law-abiding citizens" themselves is quite beyond me.

Establishment are always going to come out of this with a much better kill ratio than us. You are a small corp full of experienced pilots, with a nyx for good measure. You are very good at what you do, and only seem to get into fights you know you can win. Something your good at engineering.
Ushra'khan on the other hand is a lot bigger. We have just as many experienced pilots, but also some that are less so. With the advantage of alts, cov ops up the pipe its very had for us to score big kills, whereas with a little patience you can certainly pick off any ushra'khan who dont read updates on hostile positions.
That being said, its not like Establishment have actually prevented us from doing anything. We have just been getting on as usual. Sometimes when the Nyx is around we cant really come up with an effective counter and have to wait it out. Occasionaly a gang that has nothing to do will go and look for a fight, or if we need an industrial to get through a chokepoint they will break a camp. But mostly things are ok.
In short, this is a very good excersise for our newer pilots on how to take notice alliance chat, and how to stay sharp. Nothing more. We prefer to fight our real enemies

I would probably have said, that if i had "several bills" i would buy myself a nyx and go and harass people..
w/o cash and with the back to the wall we continue to do what it takes we defend our right to exist, in freedom.
the pirate alliance is attempting to distract us from our main target (btw, we settled in unclaimed territory!) which are the slavers.
By doing so, they become supporter of slavery. I call upon the matari blooded pilots in your organisation.. is this really what you want?

Kinda sweet how the little guys like to tag onto the end, talking big, of EST's thread about their war declaration, which, incidentally, they've let lapse again, either through laziness or revelation. Obviously, since UK not surrendered or EST is undefeated, it must no longer serve their best interests. Outface the depths of evil with clarity |

Edited by: Pylse on 05/09/2006 21:27:17 I believe we use the plural forms of ownership about the Nyx. It took far too much effort from the whole corp to be dedicated to one person, but yes, he risks his Nyx by taking it into combat because that's what we wanted to use it for and it sure is a lot of fun.
You can see from the way people react that they didn't expect 1 292 500 000 kg of "rather grumpy atm" to land on their forehead when engaging a hauler, and some of the comments in local afterwards have been rather interesting. "Err. Run!" Is my standing favourite.
That being said the locals do seem to see the bright sides of having a mothership outside their station. It is now a sport to "ride those fighters" for as long as possible without dying (Spiderweb holds the record in his shield tanking Scorpion and utterly incredible 48 seconds, allthough there are rumours going around that the fighters were a long way off and maybe this should be disqualified)
Being "Nynxed" is today the to-do for adrenaline rush and getting off, much cheaper allthough not really safer then those neural boosters you get at the more skank looking pleasure hubs. I've heard it is addicting. Ris Dnalor can tell you more.
Besides she makes muffins. Really good muffins. It's just like the Ice-Cream van, all the kids want to go but the foolish and boring parents (evil and MEAN zoolkhan!) fear the driver is some rabiat psycotic with a moustache that means to capture and feed them to "his pretties". Naturally a load of rubbish. Didn't your parents ever teach you to listen to those sexy sirens young U'K-uns? Or was it the other way around? Anyways, the Nyx reflection in the duct-tape sure makes that fugly Minmatar Outpost look nice for a change =P

I hope that we have brought something to U'K, because they do seem to be more dedicated in combat now then 1-2 month ago, so I hope they are learning from this experience as we are. I learned, kamikaze jumping into a fleet and attacking it in a megathron is stupid... atleast 1 out of the 10 man in the fleet will have ecm...

Sounds like it would be a good fight, except I dont think U'K have even the tiniest percentage of the organisation needed to take down a Mothership.
If they do, though, the war will end, since it seems it's the only reason the Establishment are going to manage to do anything meaningful.

Tank wise, you have never come so close to killing the Mothership to my knowledge. Ushra'Khan's best attempt, did indeed result in the loss of almost half of our Fighters and the Nyx being forced to withdraw. Getting it into armour means nothing considering its an armour tanker. I believe we returned the favour though some days later killing many of the Fighters from 2 of your Carriers
Its been a bloody war so far, and an enjoyable one. The Carrier loss was surprising, I hear the Nyx and Chimera got seperated by a server crash which was why the Chimera got ganked. Compared to the Nyx, that Chimera can barely kill anything on its own. The Nyx did its best to save it, to no avail

I counted from the time I started getting mass damage on my shields, the torp raven (yes there was t1 torp raven shooting juggers as well) was just testing my paint job tbh. So it was definetely 48secs because I clicked the cap booster the time I started getting bashed, and I emptied it when I needed to dock (4x 12 sexs).
