Brother Todd	Posted - 2006.07.31 22:34:00 - [1] After being sniped from 200+km by a gate camp of 8 'pirates' for the third time this week I'm going to whine a little. 1. Why don't these people get some dreadful disease and die? 2. Why doesn't anybody help us who can't gather a blob of friends in t2 battleships? 3. Why do these *******s call themselves pvpers? 4. Why is this not considered an exploit? 5. Why isn't anything being done?

But I don't have the skills or the cash to even buy the covert ops skillbook... oh well I guess I'm just screwed

Why isn't anything being done? 1. thats a bit harsh isn't it? it's only a game 2. because you've not paid them yet, mercs arn't free. 3. sniping is pvp, and they probably do other forms of pvp aswell. 4. why should it be? 5. there are already plenty of ways to avoid camps. check recent pirate activity on the map before moving through lowsec, use instas, etc.

The sooner you learn that, the sooner you can begin to ignore/avoid their kind and not give them easy ganks... Your stereotypical views of these people are quite funny but please stop thinking that every pirate is the same as every other.

They will fix it. @OP you can use instas, look at local, use a scout (14 day trial in a shuttle works wonders). Every low sec death is preventable. but you know what i really hate?

They will introduce 3 excellent snipers with Kali One. The Caldari even has a range bonus and the Abaddon has extreme dps at range. I know they have talked about it, sure, but talk is cheap... They're players fighting players. Just because they're not giving you a chance to kill them doesn't mean they aren't PVP'ers. 4. It's really not that big of a deal if you scout ahead. Losing ships sucks, but hey, welcome to low security. If losing a ship really bothers you that much, stay in Jita. 5. There's nothing wrong with it really, nothing drastic anyway. Welcome to lowsec, where you die the moment you enter. Use instas, check the map, and attempt to get a friend to scout for you and you'll be fine - that being said, having a small piece of the MMO pie isn't necessarily a bad thing. I'd rather have 1% and EVE's generally high quality than 50% or so and live in WoW... shudders*
