CCP, with its new Crucible patch, has utterly ruined the end-game, aka Supercapitals. I know, the whiners are already screaming, "EvE doesn't have an end-game." Bullocks.

I've played this game for 5+ years, and the vast majority of "bittervets" I know own caps and own supercaps, or want super caps. No one has the long term "goal" of being a Battleship jocky/cannon fodder. At least, no one who will play EvE long-term.

The nubs who fly Dreaks in Level III missions come and go. They don't contribute much to industry, they don't contribute much to the politics of EvE, and they don't contribute much as FC or any of the other roles that keep the "sandbox" of EvE running.

I don't give much of a **** about what happens to my own super. For one thing, I bought it with Plex, and I have an almost unlimited amount of Plex in my RL bank account (Imagine about 10 of your parent's houses). Furthermore, being extremely busy in RL, I have not had time to log into EvE for any reason other than to change skills. So, as for my supercap, let it burn, let it die, let it rot in space. I will either Plex for another one, or fly a 'Nado, which looks more fun anyways.

But I am the Anti-Mittani.* Unlike him and his dark Horde, I do not want to see New Eden burn. I don't want to see 1000 rifters beat 100 supers. I don't want to see online player numbers drop and drop and drop. I don't want this game to go in the direction of SWG -- which died a horrible, twisted death when the Devs tried to appeal to the masses and the kiddies and the nubtards.

I was on the Something Awful forums long, LONG before The Mittani. I saw the first skirmishes between SA, 4chan, THWF, Gen May, and others. I understand their goals and motivations. And I loath them.

I used to agree with that view but i got to say that as i'm aproaching 9 years of playing this game, and have practically every skill i want to train to lvl 5 done(almost 140 skills), or well trained(150+ skills to lvl 4), and the sight of hitting 200 million skill points isn't that far away anymore, having the best implants and plenty of isk....Heck all 4 titan skills are maxed out, that end game feels a lot closer these days.
