I was kinda hoping you would make Jita 0.0 for an hour and have your final engagement inviting some of us to your fleet. This way a bit more knowledge transfer could have happened and your fleet could have been more effective.
Mind you some of us would have prolly yanked you afterwards but hey this a harsh brutal game.

That said: I agree with you in spirit. Perhaps the devs now have a better understanding of how us poor, young weaker alliances/corps feel when a pl SuperMom blob comes into a nullsec system we're trying to gain/keep sov in and turns our pos's, tcu's, and corpuses into nothing but speed bumps.
Player Owned Stations need a thourough relook, AND A MAJOR BUFF. At the risk of sounding both redundant and repetitive, as they sit now they are just what I called them: Speed Bumps.
Edit: adding it is rather disheartening to spend all that time and money dropping and anchoring the structures, and then the time and money to upgrade the system, only to have it all disappear in a few well-timed 10-minute sessions. |

It is due to your character name. Sorry.
Most FCs call targets alphabetically. They might skip over a very hard-to-pronounce names (CCP Alice would also fail that test) but otherwise if your name starts with A, B or C, I would suggest preparing for incoming totalhelldeath when hostiles fill the grid.
This is actually such an issue that some players have outright shelved their main character for some other role and skilled up another fleet PvP character with a name that doesn't get picked among the first 
I'm sure all 0.0 fleet participating players would love if devs could find a way to improve overview and targeting in such a way that simple A-Z target calling & focus firing with everything on grid is no longer the best strategy.
...but until then; expect to die first. Every. Time.

In all seriousness,
CCP you guys should run an official alliance in EVE where the departments make up different corporations.
Doing this and participating in the game you build would assist in the future development of the game.
Even if we can't take your sov from you, the ability to roam your space once and a while or catch you on a gate would be awesome. Not to mention that if you guys decided to involve yourselves into the fleet warfare, you'd have a better grasp on the nuances of EVE which really irritate the players.

That was a great event, CCP, but one thing stands out to me.
Vet your fits.
No, I'm not complaining about the lolfits with mixed tanks and buffer with active rigs. I'm talking about the 100+ billion isk in high-faction ammo that the developers brought to the fight. Most of the developers were apparently unaware how rare and valuable these items are; for example, one of the Apocalypse Navy Issues was carrying 29 Dark Blood Multifrequency L, one unit of which is worth more than a PLEX on the market. Not to mention the Machariels carrying thousands and thousands of units of Domination EMP L, totaling tens of billions of isk in market value. Some ammo that does not even exist anywhere in the game was spotted.
I think that loading 800-1000 million isk in the cargo is a fun idea, but that gets completely broken when just the ammo in your guns is worth ten times more. |

Thanks for the fight everyone :) It was my first real fleet flight and I had loads of fun, even though I felt like I was playing whack-a-mole with a spreadsheet for awhile (targeting primaries being called out on voice).

And that's precisely what happened. The FC and wing commanders for the Jita fleet called for the target list to go alphabetically, and we immeditally launched on Alice. As the fight developed, we started identifying some of the Guardians and shield-tankers, but pretty much went down the list from the start.

Confirming that for the first primary the fleet shot at, I picked you because you were at the top of my overview.
Also, I'm pretty sure I had your corpse, but it got blown up when my ship got blown up. So it's safely vaporised. |

I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed this thread and am bummed I missed the fun!
With that said I have a super cool story related though that I wanted to share...
Tonight I logged on and after reading the thread was in Osmeden where I live and my corp has their base. Well guess who I saw in local chatting - Fatty himself! : ) Needless to say I had to harass him. : )
These dev blogs make my days and especially ones like this.
Anyways, Great guy - we had a few good laughs and I got to enjoy the event as best I could through his stories.
He even gave me his corpse .... for all you CCP Devs that missed out. : )
....I might be willing to trade it for a Polaris frigate. haha |

Glad I could contribute! See, I lasted a bit with my Megathron.. got some kills.. Then got popped..
Reshipped into a Dominix and as soon as I show up on field .. 1. PL had shown up so the lag was terrible.. And 2. next thing I know I was in my pod. Guess now I know why. |
