The game journalism biz is competing heavily with reviews from actual players. For any game you'll instantly see if it's a good game by doing a 5 minute search on Twitter or Facebook. That will tell you so much more than any 'professional' review ever could. Anyone who thinks the 'big' review websites or individuals are completely unbiased or never take enormous amounts of money for positive reviews is seriously naive.
