Just too much trouble anymore to fly from San Francisco to Houston (I'm the only Left-Coaster in the family) for just 'a few days'.
Besides, the humidity and muggy Autumn there will give one pneumonia within a day. HORRID city. How I survived the heat there for 17 years I will NEVER understand..................... Most of family is almost two hour one-way drive or halfway across US, so its almost the same as A in my case. Last I heard local family will be Sunday.
There's also Y) held up by being partial on-call for work. For me this works out as an extension of B but whatever.
Edit - Yes I had logged in earlier, but was during my 'normal' work hours (US overnight) so almost no one noticed anyway. I may have come here from Myst Online, but that does not make me any less bloodthirsty than the average Eve player.
Just more subtle.

Or living in a country that celebrates thanksgiving but doesn't feel particularly thankful after having his ancestors pretty much eradicated and his land stolen.
Its called war, we won you lost. Indians were not the first wont be the last. Get over it and carry on making mountains of $$ with all your casinos so you can continue to give free money to all the now lazy indains making 10,000's a month for doing nothing except breath air. So be thankful we eradicated 90% of your ancestors because if we didn't then you would make 90% less free money, and might actually have to make something of yourself.
Now if you are not lucky enough to be from a casino owning tribe well then now you have reason not to give thanks. But please dont attack our stuffing mines! |

Indeed education in America has failed so much that 75% of high school students cannot point to France on a map.
BUT.......I'm not sure what the point of your question was. Are we not allowed to discuss our Holidays ????? OMG He Spent His Free-áAURUM ! God is simply-áthe very extraordinary power of the Universe to organize Itself as percieved.

Yeah....the real statistic is probably 95% cannot. For REALS. Only 2% can point to Vietnam. OMG He Spent His Free-áAURUM ! God is simply-áthe very extraordinary power of the Universe to organize Itself as percieved.

Because we all know what's in the US is better than what's on the other side of the world, even if you don't know what's on the other side of the world.
Btw, I'm A).
Oh and btw, I don't particularly like my country (France), but the current International monetary fund has a french director, and the one before him (her, actually) was also french. And I can pretty much point almost all important US cities. CNN couldn't :

But I've always wanted to go to a thanksgiving dinner. Part of a dream of mine to celebrate every holiday from every country at some point in my life (preferably in their country of origin). Clocked up a fair few already, a lot, lot more to do. |

Because we all know what's in the US is better than what's on the other side of the world, even if you don't know what's on the other side of the world. Tell that to all the illegal American immigrants we have here in Australia. The Yanks are in the top group of illegals that can't get enough of one of the last bastions of civilisation left on Earth.
America has Mexicans. Australia has Americans.

That's because just having Americans around raises the standard of living.
