If the Hype had an agility bonus (a really good one, like -10% mass per level) then it would not only be a lot more agile while in combat, but it would also align to warp much much faster. What does this accomplish? Imagine small gangs of these being able to do fast hit/run engagements or be able to follow smaller ships from gate to gate much easier than the current BSs.
This would provide a very unique and fun design that isn't filled by either of the existing Gallente BS designs. So how about it? -10% mass and +7.5% damage bonus per level?
Because I said so...

Interesting idea, but it's already getting the MWD bonus, I believe. It just doesn't/wouldn't make sense that the mass would go down with each successive skill level.
I mean, replace the paneling with carbon fiber and stick a "Type-R" sticker on the side?

If you look up Tux's latest posts, you'll see that he's made the comment that the MWD bonus isn't set in stone, and in all likelyhood is going to be changed to something else.
Furthermore, the latest bonus the devs have been testing is indeed a mass reduction bonus.
Because I said so...

Can't they put 'go-faster' stripes on the ship when you reach higher levels and maybe a nice spoiler kit. And ofcourse the faction model with neon lights and chrome thrusters.
But whatever they do, you ain't getting a 7.5% damage bonus...

Latest news was its going to be +5% dmg per lvl together with a mass reduction bonus for fitting MWD per lvl, no values have been stated about the mass bonus though.
This would be a great bonus for the hyperion IMO, much much better than the stupid -6.25% to cap bonus with MWD.

Just a tought i had:
Considering the fact that you want blasterboat, why reducing drone bay? To make it better fleet bs than thron? I don't see reason to use thron over hype in fleets, and if they reduce drone bay 1 gun doesn't outweight 5 heavys and tracking bonus... and empty utility slot :)))

5% damage and an agility bonus would be good. The MWD cap use boni is dumb, ( mebbe having realised this they'll take it off the rax and deimos, fingeers crossed ), it would be good if an agility bonus with mebbe bs 4 or 5 would allow u to get acceptable speed with an Afterburner. That would really make the Hype something to be feared.
