Hello. Today i noticed i cant log into Sisi. When i hit connect button, logging in text comes and it shows Authenticating while loading bar goes right. After few minutes i lose the connection and this message pops up
"The server failed to acknowledge the client's response to the server's challenge within a reasonable amount of time"
I check¦d my firewall and it should allow this new client. Any other ideas?

* There was a bunch of windows update stuff. * It was a while since I tried, so the client wasn't up to date. I reinstalled it and updated it.
Didnt work for me. Updated all new window stuff they had.

Edited by: Putain on 10/08/2006 19:54:46 Edited by: Putain on 10/08/2006 19:54:29 I'm having the same problem. I've had it since 4331, but never saw anyone else with it, so I assumed it was just my machine. I've tried updating directx and Windows (I'm running XP Pro SP2) and it's still happening. I'm going to try a reinstall of the test client... Hope that works.
EDIT: Nope, still stuck at auth. Any ideas?

what caught my eye was the part on the server log file that said
UserError: [GPSTransportClosed.infomodal] Connection Lost - The transport has not yet been connected, or authentication was not successful. {'what': 'The transport has not yet been connected, or authentication was not successful.'}
whatever that means

Well, I think that the issue is that data on newly-made or newly-reactivated (my case) accounts hasn't been copied over to sisi. Maybe we can get that done?

Please stop posting this and turning people away with wrong information (not aimed at you in particular, or meant to cause offense, just clarifying). If your account was inactive/nonexistant at the time of mirroring, the server will give you a proper error message notifying you of the fact. The problem at hand is that the server basically does not talk to the client at all upon login in some cases. No error message, no communication (well, no data anyway - it does acknownledge receiving the packets) at all. ----

I only accepted that as a solution because I read several other people's posts claiming that that was the problem. I wasn't trying to turn people away with false information, only what I understood to be general consensus as to the cause of the issue. It does make more sense that the client just isn't getting any data from the server, but the cause of this is a mystery to me, as it doesn't seem like that would be the kind of problem to only affect some users.

if you get the message "unknown" on the server window, it means the server is down

Hi
I had this problem in another context, but maybe the issue is at work here too:
I am using an Linux Router using NAT to connect to the Net and i have found that i need to set "CLAMP_TCP" option in my routing software.
With some searching, i found out that some servers (or firewalls) get confused if the TCP packetsize exceeds a certain value. This happens if the packets sent by the client get repackaged on the router, thus adding additional headers, and making the packet bigger than usual. The CLAMPTCP option makes the router split packets if they get too large.
Valar,You might want to check if your server/network/firewall somewhere drops non-standard-size packets.
