ahhhh... except it's someone job to read this. It's feedback and no one likes this patch. Maybe the fanbois. This patch is seriously underwhelming and you can't even deny that. |

- Meta rebalance, great, should be interesting to see where it goes. There really were a lot of effectively useless modules out there. Of course not every sub Meta 4 was useless, but the vast majority just weren't worth having. If there are going to be actual pros and cons to each module, then I'm all for it as it will make fitting a ship to a particular role a lot more interesting. - EDIT - I should say, that I haven't had a chance to go through the modules properly and see what's been changed, but on paper it seems like it could be a good thing
"Oh, I should have fit the faster firing launchers instead of the ones that have a larger capacity, I didn't use them all anyway before I died. Oops"
- Meta rename, no, just, no. The names are horrible. There was, as far as I can see, no issue with the names as they were. Renaming simply because they've changed a few stats just reeks of "Look at me! I changed stuff!"
I've refrained from commenting on UI changes, as I invariably hate them at first -since they're new- but get used to them over a short time. |

I LOVE the new meta module names, it makes things so much clearer. I'd like to see it apply to ships as well. The names are confusing. How about... Caldari Missile Frigate I Caldari Turret Frigate I Caldari Repair Frigate I Caldari Tackle Frigate I Caldari Scanning Frigate I Caldari E-War Frigate I This would eliminate all the confusing names like Kestrel, Merlin, Bantam, Condor, Heron and Griffin. You could use the same format for all races, then pilots would know exactly which ship to purchase when they cross train to another race's ships. And by using the same convention with the T2 variants pilots would know exactly which ship to purchase when they get the skills. Since ships are role based anyway, I think this change based on the module changes implemented in Oceanus would really help new players be more effective in Eve. |

Why do these expansions have names like "Hyperion" and "Oceanus" or "Crius"? Surely Patch 1 Patch 2 Patch 3 would have been just as good right?
Still waiting on pos fixing. or is it all supposed to be mobile depots by now ? Its not possible to please all the people all the time, but it sure as hell is possible to Displease all the people, most of the time.

Blue Missile Frigate Red Gun Frigate Green Repair Frigate Yellow EW Firgate
The texture maps on the ships can then be replaced by simple solid flat-shaded colors, which is much easier on the graphics cards - and saves development costs, since you don't need shader programmers nor texture map painters. |

Pretty much they've taken a big massive steaming shite next to this one to distract us! And still nothing heard in this thread.
I also have a massive problem with this quote underneath......

We're doing some discussion internally about the concerns some people have expressed about the naming. I will say that we absolutely reject any argument that attempts to claim that obscure name memorization should somehow be a requirement to play EVE. It's not "dumbing down the game" to make systems more easily understandable. However some of the concerns about the lore and flavour have merit and we're talking about what we might change to better address those concerns. Nothing related to this will be changing for Oceanus, but everything can be iterated upon.
Also, if you've read the patch notes or dev blog today you'll have seen that we made an adjustment to the Restrained Cap Flux Coil stats. We had some wires crossed internally and thanks to your feedback we've cleared up the erroneous stats. The Restrained Cap Flux Coil will indeed have reduced drawback instead of increased drawback. It will have a capacitor pool penalty of -10% and a recharge speed bonus of 28%.
Thanks.
To me it reads a little like.....

I haven't had a lot of time to try all the new features but the cloaking sound is way too loud. It gets a little ridiculous when you uncloak from a gate after jumping and cloak again right away. |

Yeah the noise is too loud, it needs to be configurable. It's just too "in your face" which seems odd for a cloaking effect which should feel more subtle, imo.
Also, in all these kind of threads I like the "make the second post an FAQ" idea to stop needless posts and ppl like me having to restate what's been written on devblogs. |

Why does the drag and drop functionality work differently if you are dragging from the inventory( which is load on release) and if you drag from the blue print menu in the industry window(which is hold over input area until loaded). A way to indicate if your mouse in in the right area and what action needs to be done to apply the item or blue print would be nice. If i dont know something about EVE. Pros:
The decloak/cloak effect is very pretty. I approve. Cooldown timers. These are awesome and long overdue. Overview settings for d-scan. Equally useful, so I can *see* things I can shoot but I can dscan for towers without forcefields.
Cons:
But my cloaked ships look crap on a variety of graphics cards/settings. Transparent ships were good. Having what looks like a 2d overlay on a 3d ship is poor and I'm not using 1970's hardware! The names. Serious, I liked all the meta names. Do not standardise, listen to your player base. Yes, have meta items that are different in terms of fitting, effectiveness, capacity etc. to give us more options (and please make T2 better than meta 4). But call them odd things as it makes the lore more interesting.
Indifferent:
Wormhole colours/effects. I use the WH names anyway (x702) to figure out what I can get through, and if I want to know what is on the other end I jump through(!) That should be how wormholes work - you know a little by looking at it / show info but you don't know exactly until you jump (and potentially die)

I like the new cloaking transition as well now that I got used to it. The transition looks cool and I am not that disturbed by that '2D' effect others are complaining about, I like to see where my ship is even when cloaked.
I also had one station with maxed out inventory, the new changes reduced the clutter a bit and have now more room... as now different modules are made the same one. And as for the names, I don't care how it's called, I care about what they do.
As for future expansions, It's a taboo to talk about it perhaps... but CCP was on the right track with the plan of adding walkable stations and who knows even have holodecks where you could do battle simulations and maybe entrable agent offices with a 3D agent character you could interact with.. yada yada. I so wish they would pick up those plans again. It definitely would make it more atractive for a wider audence without changing the core of EVE. Expansions with name changes and a little shiny here and there is not the future of EVE nor CCP. |

In my experience, you can try and post that in General Discussion, to have it shut down in about an hour by the first ISD as much as sniffing in your direction. Walking in Stations as a theme is being literally censored.
As for EVE and CCP's future, they already have been set on stone and then they may work out or don't.

WoW you even found another way to describe the NERF positively! "interceptors and Interdictors get balance updates" <--- BALANCE UPDATES!!
Just because everybody is flying crow, you want to make sure that NOONE will fly a crow again?
You added a high slot with a launcher, with the same damage result as before, although you cut a low slot and increased fitting requirements due to that 4th launcher.
Again and again.. from white to black.
You can always delete the ships! Who flies BC now anyway? no matter how much you try (with mjds). |

That may be, but current situation is that they do offers for free 30 day trails and even free offers with addons as an attempt to get new players in EVE, but the majority are not staying in EVE and don't come back after the trail ended. The free trails with extra's are even spammed on websites, because there are some many free keys given out by CCP and almost nobody wants them. I even tried to get my friends into EVE, but after the trail they are off to play other games. So more immersion and 3D environments with walkable stations and 3D interaction with other players and NPC agents etc would have made things more interesting and anno 1014... instead of text based agents with static missions based on 1995. But thats just my 2 cents and last I will speak about this taboo. |

There are no words to describe HOW I was disappointed by this updateGǪ
WHY? Why have you decided to ruin old wormhole backgrounds??? Am I the only one who thinks that new WH nebulas are absolutely disgusting? The previous environment was much more attractive, mysterious and enigmatical! Now all WHs almost look like a regular space. GǣThank youGǥ, CCP! You just completely destroyed my interest in this part of game content! Yes, I am very attached to the graphic environment so bye-bye wormholesGǪ
Now about the interface changes: what is this? All station service components are much bigger now. For what purpose? Who needs these stupid and unnecessary changes? Why do you always touch any part of UI that works pretty well???
P.S. Also donGÇÖt like new CreoDron ship skin. Poor Sin/IshtarGǪ P.S.S. Does anybody read this GÇ£Feedback ThreadGÇ¥ at all?

The Market Filter change is really annoying:
The new cog > drop down box adds a hell of a lot more clicking (and requires a lot more concentration as in you need to remember what setting you are on!) to switch filter when browsing the market.
A very unintuitive change that actually makes using the market horrible - Please can we get a CCP comment or even better an option to use the old displayed market filters?

The new Agents/Guests/Offices buttons, aside from being visually, ehm, rather uninspired, are IIRC in a different order than the corresponding tabs used in the past (used to be Guests/Agents/Offices, at least by default). I suggest swapping the Agents and Guests button, for two reasons: a) it will match the former layout (no good reason to change it, really) and b) the Agent Finder button will get closer to the Agents button, where it logically belongs.
Oh, and as I haven't seen this one mentioned yet... ...the cloaking/decloaking sound is too loud and generally very annoying since it plays every time after I jump a gate and then again when I move away from it. Drop the sound at least for the gate cloak, please. |
