Just so intentions are known.
This is already known, no reason to quote it, he has said it many times if you can read just a little between the lines.
And why shouldn't he try to kill it? This is what happens when you have no recourse but "reputation". He has no other options other than sit around and hope EIB gives him control back. He is likely tired of hearing "one more day" and playing his last remaining card. This is very much how the early banking system functioned in real life. If a debtor was screwed by an institution, they would try to incite the creditors to make a run on the bank.

What Mung is up to is a pivotal moment in eve's future economy. I wish him luck on his course, and I hope he gets what he needs from EIB with the least amount of trouble possible. While I dont agree with his methods, I can surely agree with his motivation.

Don't get too much stressed over the issue; after all EIB has your investors money, not yours. Effectively your investors chose to trust EIB rather than you, and if their belief turns out to be wrongly placed, it is not your fault.
So, as long as you do what you belief is the best for your investors, you should be able to retain your (own) ISK, and more importantly, your reputation.
Informing the public about the issue seems proper, advising folks to terminate business with EIB sounds quite a bit risky, but suggestions to spam are definetly improper.

Yes it was, I'm sorry for that, But I still like to say I would like everyone in eve to withdraw there isk from EIB until EIB returns full control. If enought people do this they will be force to.
Why will they be forced to you say, becouse they dont keep 100% of all the investors isk in the corp account, most or 90% of all the investors isk are on the cally account. If enought people send withdraw request they will have to force Cally to log on in order to take action to save there skins short of speak, and in doing so forcing Cally to return full control as he is signed on.
From my understanding is that why I dont have full control yet, becouse cally hasnt signed on.
He is going on 3 days with out contract. With out e-mails returns, with out nothing.
I beleave he has forgatton about it, or never really had that isk or its been tooken when "his accounts were hacked.." in witch I do not belave happend.
This all smells BS to me and Cally. What I think happen, its got to much for hem and he wanted to enjoy the game. I beleave he is playing eve right now just look at this.
Its is known that he has alot of accounts, he may have alot then just we know about, of course he did have access to alot of isk so he could of got more accounts to play with.
Maybe this is all part of his plan, to scam us all. Or maybe something did happen to hem in real life. Maybe he lost his internet for a few days.
There is alot of unknown at this point. This is why I dont fell EIB is safe right now for anyone.
There only working with what is in the corp wallet with as I stated is only 10%.
So eve, withdraw all your isk until all them unknowns I just listed are knowns. Save your isk in your own wallet. And when or if, Cally returns fell free pop it back in there if you wish.
But I'm asking you now, to please withdraw all your isk from EIB.
Thanks.

First, it's pretty clear that Mung & UEMA investors have been screwed becaused of the EIB problems. I think Mung is pretty fed up at this point, and some ranting on his part can be forgiven.
Now, THREE VOTES and EIB & EMFI still contest the results? I think at this point there could be 100 votes and the shares won't be returned. The voting mechanism might be bugged, but at some point you're going to have to accept that UEMA doen't want anything to do with EIB anymore. Also, it appears that it's in UEMA's best interest to cut ties with EIB.
Anyone associated with Cally has been infected with his "under siege" mentality. You can see the hostility creeping into Crazy Bugger & EMFI Manager/Naph when these topics come up.
Naph, you've gotten a little too close to this one. I think it's time to step back some. You say the audit's on hold because of lack of contact from Cally? Sometimes lack of an answer is the only answer you'll get.
If you can't complete the audit, say so, and release what you have. Giving the benefit of the doubt to the delays erodes your claims of being impartial. Set deadlines and if no info is turned over, so be it.
Well spoken! I'm trying to stay out of this mess since I don't have any interests in it but I can't help following the drama as it unfolds and this post by Kitty O'Shay expresses my feelings exactly.

Talk about a realy long audit, which went fairly fast in the begining, but when it started to hinge on cally, then it seemed to slow down with requirements for cally to show up and provide shots of the wallet screenshots.

So this won't hurt investors in UEMA in the long term. It will actually add value to the corp and the investment.
I'll call it... Bull****....
It is hurting the investors, those of us, like me, who invested in the IPO due to the fact that we were under the impression that EIB would make this a secure enterprise, and if it in fact was a scam, we were insured to a degree.
BUT, with Mung not being able to get ahold of his ISK, or the BPO's, or such, he is not making money for the corporation EXCEPT the paltry 4% interest.
I would rather SEE my investment WORKING by buying BPO's, selling merchandise, etc and not just sitting in a glorified savings account.

Hm, why does this bring back memories from the time when Apple (Macintosh) and Microsoft had their best fights. Kind of amusing. (Hope the investors don't mind me saying that!)
I feel for you all (investors) and I think they should put you first and make sure you all get what's yours. I myself was about to invest 10-15B right when this happened, good thing I didn't. This might have gotten me to wait till the Stock system is up and running for real in game.

O.o looks like Cally has got a sense of humor or a lot of bad luck :S
I was getting worried about not hearing anything, I feel quite silly about making a joke...
What is the chance? House broken into & their new computer not working & being in a international covered bus accident & being one of the 9 wounded & having someone 'make a joke about it' before you tell them?

People have suggested I should make a deadline and just publish whatever I have.
At the moment the status / findings of the audit are the same as before the audit which is:
[At this moment not ennough conclusive confirmed evidence based on facts has been gathered yet to disprove Currin's Theories beyond doubt]
I don't see a need to post anything before this status changes (positively or negatively) which will happen as soon as Cally logs on and I can verify some facts. Or Cally logs in and refuses to cooperate.
So till then, I won't do any statements till the 'status changes'

But hey, what do I know...

What are the odds of Cally actually being one of the people in that bus crash?
What are the odds that he saw the crash mentioned and simply decided to use it as his latest excuse? A good bit higher I'm sure.
"Maybe he was in that bus crash" "I was" "Wow really? We love you Cally you always tell us the truth, no doubts here!"
EMFI person: if you have cally's real-world contact information, why not investigate her claims of being in that bus crash. If they won't realease who was in the crash, ask them if a person with the name Cally gave you was in it. If they still won't tell you, call Cally's house and see if he's home. If he is, he's not at any damned hospal. Call him and ask him how he's feeling before you tell him who you are. If he says "Um... I'm fine?" then he'sa big at liar. There are 100 other ways you can use his IRL contact information to confirm or deny this claim. So do it already.

Definitely a good idea.
EMFI could simply write an email and ask "was person name X involved in the crash"? They'd probably be willing to answer.

At this point I'm still calling it bull, There is no f-ing way, that one person could have all that bad luck. If you really want to hear about bad luck I'll tell you the last 2 years of my life. You know what, in the last 2 years of my life, I always had access to the internet one way sharp or forum, I always had access to play the games I wanted.
and in the last 2 yers of my life, I went through.
1) moving out for the first time on my own, and losing everything. 2) spending 800 to get a place to life for 3 weeks, then lose the place, 3) lost 2 cars, and everything I owned. 4) mom tryed to kill her self, well lets just say, thanks to my best friend I'm still playing.. 5) I lost my grandma, my ant, ..
I could go on and on, you know, If I can go through all that, and still be able to get on the internet to play games, when I was homeless at one point.. Then anyone can.
This is way I'm calling Cally BS, Tell hem to take a picture right now of hem self, and post it. Only way I'll beleave it.
Tell hem to post pictures of his house right after it was broken into. (if he says he has non, he is lie, the cops, take them, and when you request them they give them to you).
I want pictures at this point, if he says no he can't log on, (but he can check his e-mail, and get on eve-online. Then I want someone at his house, taking picturs and prof or its all bull ****.
Right now, Cally is one of the mos... I'm sorry to stop befor I get baned from the forums, but you guys can get my picture.
And for everyone who has money in EIB get it out befor its to late. And when it is and you come crying to the forums, I will just link this post. and laugh at you.

Edited by: Astarrel Osteth on 11/08/2006 17:45:06 EMFI, how old is Cally? If he's not 19 or 49 then I think he's finally lied himself into a corner.
Even if he is, and still claims to be one of the people in the crash, then how does he explain him not having access to his computer with only "minor injuries"?
In 2000 I had my fingers torn nearly to the bone when a plastic rope I was holding got caught in a tractor engine, making the rope fly through my hands at like 100 mph. After that I passed out on the phone with 911, fell forwards into a stove, tearing my head open on the metal knobs and falling backwards, splitting my skull open on the tile floor.
With 13 stitches and every finger on my hands wrapped with 2 inches of gauze I STILL GOT ON MY COMPUTER AND PLAYED ULTIMA ONLINE! Not to mention I didnt actualyl have to play, there was nothing urgent waiting for me, I just had nothing to do because i was home with injuries, resting.
I say again *ahem*

Here is a hint, the only one of the males that actually stayed in the hospital was 13.
So either Cally is yanking your chain, or you have deposited billions of ISK with a 13 yr old...

Now this tread is starting to deliver some serious humor!
I love how EMFI made a joke about the bus crash, and it gets jumped on as *yet another excuse* by Cally.
Well, we all owe Mung some thanks for taking a stand, and forcing the issue. EIB might not have started as a scam, but if you can't gat your ISK back, does it really matter?
It won't ever "officially" be a scam until Cally posts saying "LOL stole your isk!1!" Until then we'll have the debate of "there's no proof" vs. the amount of circumstantial evidence that showed up.

Currin,
Because in the social world reality is not independent of what we think about reality, we will never know how things would ahve turned out if you hadn't posted about EIB being a potential scam. To put it simply, your actions may have caused the collapse of EIB, if you wouldn't have taken those actions, the collapse may not have happened. It's an "unknowable unknown". Contrast this to making predictions about what will happen when two chemicals are mixed together. Whatever you think or say will not change the result.
I'm not defending Cally. I had my own concerns as well. But, I can't give you credit for uncovering a blantant scam. I will certainly give you credit for provoking thought about the viability if EIB's governance model.
Now I think its time to ask you to produce screenshots of your journal showing how you scammed ISK 30 billion. I have my concerns.
...
(just kidding, doesn't matter) :)
