This guy has 8 pages of replies on his GTC for isk selling thread, and he has other threads aswell, including another 8+ page reply one. This seller must have bought and sold 100's of codes, has probably spent well over $10,000 dollars on codes just to sell for isk. No sane person does this, one of two things has happend here.
1. Hes an insanely rich person and is spending all his money to buy isk with GTC, highly unlikely, especially with his dodgy english, and if this were true then it presents a major problem, people said no rich guy would come to EVE and waste loads of money buying this much isk.
2. Hes getting the isk so that he can sell it back at a profit on ebay or a isk selling website, the more likely assumption.
Its so obvious what is going on here, right in plain view of CCP too, and they dont care, this says a lot about CCP.

That is also a possiblity, because there is no chance that hes actually buying all this isk for personal use. If he was buying it for personal use, then this disproves peoples theory that no rich person would come to EVE and spend many 10s of thousands on buying isk.

How does his not speaking english like a native keep him from being wealthy?
Are only english speaking people well off on this planet? No offence, but that's quite racist of you.
MANY of the people who play this game have english as a second, or even third language. So their grammer may not be up to univercity Enlglish Major levels. Hell, I ONLY speak english, and I can't spell, and can no longer use proper gramer 100% of the time.
As for him/her being an ISK farmer/reseller, quite likely. You might just want to report it though instead of takeing it to the forums.

Reporting it is quite useless, CCP do not care if hes selling the isk or not. He blatantly is, but they wont do anything.

How do you know they don't care? How do you know, that they are not working on the problem? You got some secret FBI bugs planted at their work place?
The little I know about the law, its on their shoulders to PROVE that the guy is breaking the law (or EULA in this case).
I'm getting really tired of this arrogant, short-sighted attitude, tbh.

why not just ask the guy directly what he does with all the isk and whether he's really rich in real life?

why is ppl complaining about these guys who are selling GTC/ETC? i am glad someone is selling them fore isk so i can play eve fore isk and not IRL money. If you complain about this meens that you really want to buy this code and play free but you dont have the isk to buy them.
stop complaining and accept that some ppl want to play eve in one way and some in another.

So much idiocy in this thread
Sir Juri - yeah, another GTC thread. Wonder why there's so many of them? Because a lot of people care about this. I feel they're killing EVE and I think that's a crying shame since it was a great game. Threads will continue to appear about them, and continue to be censored, people CARE about them. Also I don't think you understand what the word "troll" means. The OP is posting a valid concern.
Choans - the OP isn't calling for GTC sales to be stopped is he? Try reading posts before you reply to them.
TheDeceit - do you honestly believe that this is just "some rich guy" spending over $10,000 on ISK? And if so, are you OK with that? Knowing that EVE is a game where someone can come in and just buy 60 billion ISK?
My first thought was that this is most likely money laundering. Buy GTC's with dirty money (profits from drug dealing, prostitution, theft, extortion, gun running, etc), sell them for ISK, transfer the ISK untracebly (jet piles of morphite into a can, pick up with another account), sell the ISK on eBay.
However I don't actually think that the last part of that chain is viable any more. Why would anyone buy ISK on eBay now when they can get it totally legally and with CCP's protection buy selling GTCs? So no, I don't know what's going on here, but it's really not good for EVE either way. Either it's criminal or it's putting the fabric of EVE at risk.

IMHO its no-ones business why he is doing this...
If someone wants to spend there R/L cash on GTC then thats up to them. There is no evidence that he is a criminal in any way shape or form, and to suggest that he is without even knowing him is royally rude and short sighted.
Not everyone with money in this world is a criminal !

Very rich ppl usually don't have time for computer games, and they are usually obsessed with other things than building virtual business empires and buying non-existant property. So, I don't believe that it's some rich businessman, trying to be uber in Eve. Most likely it's someone's business. $10000 is a huge amount of ISK, more than enough to acquire things in game that will help to generate ISK without buying it with RL money. So, most likely, it's someone's business (money laundering seems a possibility). Is it legal, we don't know, but we know that something stinks there.

Its got f**k all to do with you ! If its a major issue CCP will sort it out, if not it doesn't affect you at all so stop throwing unfounded accusations around the forums.

We care because not many would want to be in a game, where you should work for something for many months, and then someone comes in and buys all this and more in 1 day with ****loads of RL money.

Some people in this thread think it is a kind of money laundering...
Buy GTC with "dirty" money Dirty money now with CCP Sell ISK for money of e-bay Get money that isn't "dirty"
But there's a flaw with that plan cos theres a butt-load of scammers on e-bay using stolen cards etc to buy items...
But there isn't actually ANY evidence that this is the case, its all speculation and conspiracy theories.

It doesn't change much. Much less than $10000 will buy you staff in game that will allow you to generate tons and tons of ISK without the need to spend RL money on it. The fact that ISK selling continues says that most likely it's a business and not some rich gamer, wanting to be mega uber.
