Edited by: Legat Titus on 11/08/2006 12:41:23 I'm a noob and have to make missions if I want a jumpclone in a far future or a POS in HiSec. But after 50 missions with lvl 1 agents I'm bored. Sometimes I was a guest in a lvl 4 mission, but it's always the same:
- Take the mission - Shoot someone - fly back and choose next mission
No one of my missions take longer time than 30min (mostly it's the way to the mission that take most time). I'm making a mission like Worlds Collide in 10 min for 10th time. Transport missions are more boring. It's all boring...
Do you asking, why I don't fly lvl 2 mission or higher? I want to skill my leanings first to save skill time and it's a long way. The disadvantage is my frigate is a pieace of crap now.

You're making money... how is that boring? Also... point? If missions aren't for you then you can just find a different agent... some require courier or mining.

Then don't do them? Not everyone is a mission runner not to mention you do not need to be a mission runner to gain jump clones. You can buy them from other players (ones that have their own corp with high corp standings) or make them at outposts in 0.0. Keep in mind you do NOT need personal standing you need CORP standing for jump clones. So you either have to gain the standing then create your own 1 man corp or your corp has to have really high standings from a lot of people doing missions.
As for your skills thats your choice. You could have trained the basic skills needed to fly a cruiser decently then went back to training adv learning skills.

Unless seeing your wallet increase slightly makes you feel YAY inside every time, missions can get mind numbingly dull. Sure, they earn money, but you could just as well be mining.

Once you've done them once, they slowly get duller and duller until you start to see them as one way of generating an income to provide funds for you to go PvP.

The problem is that you started too early on your learning phase. First train up the skills to fly a battlecruiser / battleship with support skills at 3, and go through the progresion of lvl 2 to lvl 3 missions. Not training learning skills before this will not gimp your progress by any large degree, and you will be making more iskies, and having a bit more fun while completing your learning process.
Just remember that missions are not the be-all and end-all of EVE. Explore trading , industry, complexes, PVP, the eve universe while training up those booooring learning skills, and your mind will not turn to mush while only doing missions.

Join a corp or alliance in low security or 0.0 and NPC hunt to make money. You have to watch out because real players in 10X better ships are always out to kill you.

As I say to about anyone who is new in eve:
- Learning is good to train early - to maybe lvl 3 or 4. Train them over-night. - Train skills you need to fly your ships well when you are playing - This way you can still enjoy the game and wont get bored and quit - Once you have a ship fitting you like, you can train the learning skills further.

Go pvp, mine, or trade then. Missions are not the only thing you can do in eve.

Compared to ratting and mining missions are a non-stop rollercoaster.
At least level 4 missions are because they are challenging.
Honestly though if repetition is that frustrating to you then you'll never like any MMO PVE which always boils down to different variations on the 'go kill these guys and then come back' or 'go get this thing and then come back' theme.
Sell timecards and PVP or something.

Games are supposed to be fun. Are you having fun? No? Maybe youre playing the game the wrong way?
The advantage you gain this way is minimal. -----
