you need to read what you posted.
First you say "The first volley and other bs fire took my ship down to hull and the second finished me off.", then you say "I find this rather disturbing as I do not recall ever having lost a bs at such long range before and certainly not to a torpedo raven."
Which is it, a torpedo raven or multiple BS's? And I have news for you, 150km is nothing now.
A megathron slinging spike has an optimal range of 208 km, effective of over 230 if you are competent with railguns (I am and I'm only about 1.1 years old). Ravens with tech ii torps have less range and the torps travel 6km/s so the death happens much faster. I am pretty sure a raven can hit from even further than 150 with tech ii gear.
A tech 1 megathron has > 150km range and can do quite a bit of damage with some magfield stab II's. The sniping tech ii megathron has a dps higher than almost any other ship though it has some other issues, like very low punch.
Raven is not an I-Win button. You need to re-examine your tactics, like taking on multiple BS by yourself. That's pretty fsking stupid.
Oh, by the way, sometimes even you will lose a fight in PvP. Get used to it. If you beat multiple BS by yourself, I'd get concerned that maybe what you fly is overpowered.

Torps that lower your speed ... that's ridiculus. You must have lowered your speed yourself.
No I don't have the new scrambling and webing torpedos yet.
But I guess with all those warp core stabs you are using, not even the scrambling torps can scramble you.

The one I remember (there might be another one as this one happened to my gang and I) is when me and another corpmate in regular T1 cruisers and my ex-CEO in his Ishkur went for a pirating rampage. We came across Ginger in his Raven. Our little gang got him (after him warping all over the place naturally ) but he made my and my corpmate in our cruisers warp out.
My ex-CEO proceeded to kill the Raven with his Ishkur. I think at some point another Raven came by and proceeded to lay into Ginger as well after he made the cruisers warp out but he kept shooting the Ishkur rather than the other Raven. Try as he might have, Ginger could not beat it down. He then went on the forums about it I believe.
There might be another story as I've heard of the "invincible Assault ship" before then but this one I remember because it made my corp laugh their arses off.

So ok..laughs and jokes aside, sniper love vs sniper hatred, missle love vissle turret love, etc... any one considerd "Ship out of control" ?
Check the combat log or consider how much damage you took in a volley bro. I know its happened to my cormorant PvE as a newb when I got swamped by rats and in PvP when a caracal took massive damage from a Prophecy BC and an Armageddon BS. So much damage, so quickly, and you're screwed for a good few seconds.
Considering you were in a sniping battleship, which rarely have large tanks on them, I wouldnt be surprised if you lost control of the ship mate.

His "tank" consisted of a single large repper, completely unhardened and unplated, there were too many stabs to fit much else.........

Same frakking thing happened to me and my rapier a few weeks ago, should have been able to get out no sweat!! but the damn missle**** me once, then i hit warp, and couldnt warp, at 120+ which is bogus!
