Many of the Caldari ships have the most number of Mid slots in the game, so add 2 or 3 LiF's.
Either free the slaves or we will come and get them.

Caldari ships depend on sheilds.. you take out its sheilds, you can kiss it good bye..
These modules for example MWD take off 50% sheilds.. This is very very bad towards Caldari since they depend on sheilds. You take any other ship execpt maybe for minmatar, its a no prob penalty..
Now they got -100% sheilds with the cloaking modules, this is very unbalanced towards caldari since Caldari depends on sheilds and that pretty much just kills caldari shields, any caldari ship with this on will surely die in a heart beat. Now you take any other race ship that depend on armor/hull, **** this is a huge bonus for them..
Anyone else agree with me on this?

if you use cloak and then attack you are stupid
cloaking is not for attacking
pirates will not use cloak... or one of them will in a friget
cloaking = defendless
so dont use them and stop whining
cloak is tactical weapon for scouts
not for pirates not for attacking not for defending...

... Armour hardeners, armour repairers, energized armor, armour plates even... half of this stuff doesn't use cap or has frigate-sized fitting requirements, and they go in both middle and low slots... plus, there's modules to boost structure resistance too.. putting everything together, one could build a real tank with those....

I don't overlook them at all. That's why there are stacks of Fusion Large and Titanium Sabot Large ammo in my hold along. Toss in the kinetic and explosive cruise missiles for kicks.
In the end, the element of complete surprise that a cloaking device can grant is a powerful advantage. Another example?

The point is Jash that losing all your shields isn't really *that* bad. Shields aren't the be-all and end-all of combat.

Ah...I already knew that. Think about what I said regarding the Scorpion and a cloaking device.

Everyone else was debating how to get their shields back fast and preaching how shields were everything. I just pointed out an alternate way of increasing their max hp.

sounds a bit suspiciously like you're pointing out only the downside of armour improvements  .
As long as we're clear though...
...I'm now going to lobby for a Kestrel-sized cloaking device  .

And now as armour repairers repair more then they use in cap, amarr will have a lot of fun with the cloaking. And then calculate all their lowslots (armour/hull upgrades) and say it's not unfavoring to caldari.
If your not a part of the solution, then you'r probably a part of the problem. |

Not only that but Overdrives as well to help with the speed. The armageddon might end up being the best cloaked ship for speed, and the scorpion being the best cloaked ship for armor.

Have any of you noticed sheilds don't really mean **** anymore with everyone and their sister using Lasers and sheild hardeners getting a bit of a nerf.
An apoc right now strips another b-ship of its sheilds in seconds. Its the struct and armor that gives every laser user problems.
