Should make for an interesting weekend, however I think the station will still be in the hands of CVA this time next week.

Originally by: EXZODIER when will people relise its not how much isk u ahve that wins a war - yes cva Migt have a lot of isk but thats good coz every time we kill them they drop more loot wich then gives us isk and as we kill a fair number of them our gain is far out doing our loss rember a BS only costs 30mil for insurance - then u have fitting say anouther 30-50mil, but when u blow up a carrier that drops a few hundren mil in loot or u kill a shop that gives u 4 tech 2 guns as well as the ocasional bit of faction loot, is it realy a big deal to carry on fighting, and just like CVA we do more then just blow people up we have money makers ect... so this war will last a while
oh and BTW feel free to visit the CVA outpost now - coz erm it might be a while before it has there name on the door again
Well, we popped a Sleipnir of yours the other night that dropped us around 400-500mil woth of Giisti mods, and also during that engagement you lost 11 ships we lost 1 stabber. So they only loot you have been collecting recently is your own.
And no, how much ISK people have is everything to do with winning a war, if you cannot afford to keep up with loses dealt, you cannot fight a war effectively. At the moment the amount of losses CVA is encuring isnt even noticeable. Flying around in inty packs and ganking afew lone guys who arnt paying attention or NPC'ing isnt going to bother us in the slightest. That is just buisness as usual for anyone that lives in 0.0.
Its amazing how quickly you jumped ship when things got difficult for Huzzah.

The only way to beat someone, is to break their spirit.
Pressure if maintained, will crush the strongest of men, no one is immune to it.
The question that is yet to be answered, is whether CVAs members can withstand the pressure.
A few more weeks and everyone will have the answers.
On a more personal level, so far so good for KIA, positive damage ratios against both entities, and more fun than we can shake a stick at. It can only get better for us the longer this goes on.
Week 1 update thread, including all sorts of personal insights tomorrow :)
ps. If someone in CVA has the isk to cover all assets owned by KIA, he probably has the most ISK in the game in his wallet. The book and its cover don't always match ;)

^^ Jedi please don't spam
As for why we retracted against Priory we have our own (very logical reasons) which I am not going to share - however as stated previously please continue to speculate.
Regarding the Outpost well I sincerely doubt the forces aligned against us (currently) have the capacity to take it.
However, even if they should I would not be too worried as it is an eventuality we have planned for since the day it was constructed in the same way most wise pilots (i.e. Aralis) don't fly ships they cannot afford to lose.
If the rabble opposing us think the loss of the Outpost will somehow make us leave the area or give up on their mission they are sorely mistaken.
The CVA and the Deliverance project started a long time before Outposts (and even formal alliances) even existed and we will still be here doing our bit for Amarr when time fails.
Of course they still have to take it yet - and that will be an interesting challenge I am sure...
While we are facing a significant challenge at present we have faced similar challenges from the very start - the majority we have overcome and some we have failed. Did we ever give up and quit because of our defeats and failures - no we didn't and we won't this time either.
It remains to be seen whether the piratical and mercenary forces aligned against us have the necessary willpower and long term vision to continue to oppose us.
Based on our two previous wars with TSDS and our ongoing skirmishes with Priory I would say that history is on our side. However as the ancient saying goes:
'You're only as good as your last show'
The KIA war is afaik three weeks in duration - it will be interesting to see if this is extended and will be a measure of the desperation of their employer to put an end to the CVA
With some of EVE's best mercenary outfits (Omniscent Order & KIA) + Priory and then TSDS and Blood Inquisition providing numbers and cannon fodder it certainly makes for an interesting fight - when of course there is an opportunity to fight
So far CVA's losses have been relatively minimal when we consider the array of enemies we now face.
In terms of specific engagements:
KIA managed to surprise one of our fleets last night and killed 4 of our BS and three other ships but in return we took out three of their BS despite our fleet being outnumbered and setup to deal with a different enemy. Have to chalk that one down to experience
However, earlier this week we engaged TSDS in two large scale battles - inflicting 9 BS losses on each occasion while receiving 4 BS losses in return.
You win some - you lose some - but at the end of the day determination and grit will win out (combined with a good supply of ISK).
This is why I confidently expect us to defeat the pirates once again - and the mercs - well time will tell how deep their employer's pockets are...

Sir.
I respectfully ask that you do not mis quote figures of losses and kills. I do not wish to have to bring to the forums specific engagements, but I will not allow you to post misinformation concerning KIA.
I do not argue for 1 second that your outfit was setup to engage a differing enemy, but then your pilots got very carried away, chest beatingingly over confident and paid the price.
Your losses were 2xArmageddons 2xMegathrons 1xCurse 1xSacrilege 1xProphecy 1xHeretic 1xArbitrator (9 losses)
Our losses were 1xScorpion 1xTempest 1xRaven (3 losses)
KIA had 8 BS
CVA had 14 ships total, 1 frig 4 BS and 9 Cruisers (i believe 5 of these were tech 2, but that is also not confirmed)
So far CVA have acquitted themselves well on the field of battle. They have been obviously hardened by the weeks of war, they do not give away easy kills, and they gank hard and fast when given the opportunity. Do not taint your efforts with half truths and sullied propoganda sir.
Its been a good first week, just feeling each other out and last night has shown that CVA can do more than just gank.
With the week 1 warm up over, lets get on with week 2 and start to unfold this more than interesting tale. KIA are saddled up and ready to ride as always.
Exact figures for week 1 to follow tomorrow.

I was honestly surprised to see the might of amarr support surrendering the cause. I was expecting CVA to stick it out to the bitter end. Perhaps they dont have the stomache after all.

As per the contractual agreement sir, our employer wishes to see all stats pertaining to our contrcat on CVA published publically. It is a pretty standard affair for mercenary contracts sir.
As far as KIA are concerned, CVA have proven proficient enough, that these figures are hardly astounding.
Week 2 will follow week 1 of course. Let us see what that brings for boths sides.
