my corp recently hooked up with another corp in a attempt to deal with a common enemy. i could of swarn the guy leading the fleet op on ventrillo was no other than Arnold Schwarzenegger. i dont really want to name the corp or the character envolved for obvious reasons. i didnt want to ask the guy if it really was arny for fear of embarrsing him and myself. has anyone else had a simular experience??

Back in beta or early release, it was widely rumored that the CEO of one of the EVE corps back then (I forget which) was the CEO of a fortune 500 corp in real life.
And I remember reading something about Samuel L Jackson commenting in an interview for a magazine that he played EVE. Every time I watch one of the star wars prequels, I like to think I must have podded Samuel L by now somewhere along the line :)

Many people assume that just because someone has a strong german/austrian accent, it must be non other than the Governator himself. Seriusly, even icelandic people have an accent that sounds a lot like it, and I really doubt that the real Arnold has time in his schedule for doing fleet command in EVE.

There was a guy in The Royal Syndicate awhile back that sounded like Arnie... But then again ppl say I look and sound like Owen Wilson...

But to be honest - sometimes even Siegfried and Roy sound like Arnold... Although they propably wont lead a fleet op to kill folks. They'd prolly send their *****cats.

There was a guy in one of my alliance corps who had a heavy austrian accent, it was so hilarious. We'd tell him to quote arnold and out of nowhere he'd be like "Guys, guys.." we'd say "What?" and he'd go "Get down get down get down!!" or something like that. And frequently out of *nowhere* he'd start listing random things in his setup, like we'd just pop something or whatever and he'd be like "Guys, guys, Light Neutron Blaster Tech Two Antimatter Charges Small" and we'd just think "wtf...." ahh how i miss him =p

I recently asked JaegerX at the start of an op, where we were going and what we were up to, his reply in perfect Arnie'esque "To crush our enemies, to see them driven before us, and to hear the lamentation of their women" did leave me wondering who was actually leading this op.
I suppose its a change from hearing "This is JaegerX, warp to me"

when i was in Stain Empire last year, before MASS came back, one of the fleet commanders sounded like Jason Statham (the dude that played in Transporter). Exact same voice, exact same accent, exact same way of speaking
was fairly distracting

Thers no way Arnie would lead a fleet op.
He would just take some big ship with even bigger guns and solo 250 people in 1h 21 minutes as usually.
Arnie doesnt need fleet, he needs a gun. Big gun. And bodies to shoot at.
I bet he didnt even say "ill be back". Fake i tells you!
