I remember reading somewhere that there is a ship faster than the rest in warp, that is jumping from gate to gate takes least amount of time. I've searched the forums but can't find any mention of it now?
Thanks, Wolfiest

Cheetah (covops) is the fastest I've flown. Goes 13.5 or 14 AU/s in warp. Next closest I've flown is the Stiletto (Interceptor) at 12 AU/s.
It's pretty fun to warp AFTER your quarry but arrive before them. _____________________

I thought that there a lower skill ship, like a frigate? I remember that it was an oddity when I read it. I'm only looking for express trade...

And Freighters warp at 0.3 AU/s AFAIK.

Blockade runners are either 9 or 11 au/s I believe. I'll test it out tonight on my hauler alt and confirm.

its 13.5au/s for the fastest ships which are proper covert ops ships and the 'lower tier' ceptors. tbh it isnt that much of an advantage, i wish the multiplier would also affect the warp acc/decel then it would make a difference

Great idea! Intys should definitely have this.

Freighters warp at 0.6-0.7 depending on if your in a gang. And carriers warp at 1 au. Pretty sure Dreads warp at 1 au as well.

Edited by: James Lyrus on 15/08/2006 09:00:09 Coverts and 'ceptors are the fastest in warp, but sadly that doesn't make as much difference as it might sound - acceleration and deceleration into warp makes more of a difference, except on the really long ones.
On anything less than about 30AU align times have more of an impact (which I guess means the 'ceptors are the faster, because they're a bit quick into warp)

Yup, HAC warp at about 3.7 AU/s IIRC
I'm pretty sure standard AF go the 6 AU/s frig speed
As for catching a target in a ceptor, you can basically catch a non frig sized ship with a maled if it warps more than 20 AU and you're prepared to chase it (provided it doesn't get lost in a cluster of possible destinations or safespots ...) _
