Navitas.
You can get a better mining ship almost immediately, and it isn't better at anything else.
Plus it looks like a fish.
I used to get these as mission rewards, what a bummer.

Naaaa I used a Navistas all the time as a pure noob. (the whole "This Hard Shelled Frigate" line made me think it was a tough frig, Old Man Star fixed that notion on my 3rd day in Eve)
I'd have to put my money on the Minmintar EW Cruiser, Bellasomething or a nother I think is the name. You just don't see them that often, Nor the Celestis, but I've seen a few of those around (in fact, I fly one myself).
Then again, this may all be regional anyway, Shoot, Over in minmintar space its probally a popular and common cruiser!

Strictly speaking you want the least used of the currently available ships, which is without a doubt any of the races TITANS.
Ive seen all the others - i was thinking navitas but then i remembered when the ghsc war decced us and i started to get poor i used them to travel around.... even speculatively armed the little freak. Sure i even wandered into a battle in one once too.

The least used ship ?
As in, number of them existing in-game VS number of people actually flying them (total hours) ?
I guess that would be the SMALL mining barge, what's its name.
You know, the one you buy for peanuts and is worth crap, that only requires L1 mining barge, the one that is easily "outmined" by a mining cruiser with 3xMiner IIs and almost basic skills.

I'd toss Iteron into the ring as well. Almost nobody trains Gallente Industrial to level 1 and just leaves it there.

Well, i got one too. I really wonder about what im to use if for tho. My current idea is maybe help newbie corps members if they need support on level 2 misions or something, and i for some reason dont want to use a larger ship, as a Logistics cruicer.

I actually own one too and I use it for hauling semivaluable stuff like BPO:s. Nanos + MWD + Augoror = 1600m/s + 625m^3 = whee!

The Navitas makes a good cheap high-capacity shuttle. Nobody does useless quite like the Minmatar: the Breacher is a candidate for least used ship - if you can fly one you can fly the Rifter, which is just better in every respect; the Bellicose is a rubbish cruiser with a bonus to a little-used module.

Both my main chars have a couple of those. Great for courier missions as it's fast, reasonably armoured and can hold nearly 1km3 with expanders.

How about the bellicose? Only ever killed one or two.
They are paperthin and pretty useless in combat, even for ew and support :)

Bellicose is quite rare, but I've only ever seen 2 Fenrirs, and only 1 of the Amarr freighters and never seen the Caldari one, but then again I'm rarely in either of their empires.

Thing is noobs buy a lot of frigates. Even rubbish/useless firgates are often snapped up by noobs who dont realise how bad they are.
I would suspect the low end cruisers (augorer/exeq...something) are bought by noobs in fair volumes as a "yay my first cruiser". Most of the other cruisers are at least somewhat usefull for somthing, expect the belicose.

I sell Atrons and Navitas fairly regularly (20 or so this week IIRC), so they must be being used by someone :p (at least enough people for me to build them when I have some leftover mins)
