EVE is where I will be for the next year or 2.
This is only the begining of the EVE world. We have only just begun.

World of Warcraft.
Blizzard are promising multiple continuous story lines from day 1 and considering their track record I've got every reason to believe they'll deliver.
Not to mention that it will probably be released in a mostly balanced and relatively bug-free state.
Gonna also keep an eye on Warhammer Online, FFXI and Ultima Online 2 (which I heard has resurfaced again)

Ragnarok Online. Already it has a user base larger than SWG, and one of the top two MMOGs in the Far East (Korea, Japan, Thailand, Taiwan, etc,.)

I was already expecting a reply like this:P
The reason I am looking at SWG is because my old Planetarion alliance, Legion, plays that game. -------------------------------------------------

For those looking to Horizons, it will also have NO PvP :(
I'm looking out for Lineage 2 ------------------------------------------- If you kill them, they will die!

Personally, me and several others are looking at an independant development in Germany called "Face of Mankind". It looks very much like what EVE would be if it had a first person walk around the base and planet feel.

Single player will Likely be Deus Ex2 as the first was excellent and Halflife 2 also. MMO's I will likely try WoW or FFXI.
EVE was my first MMO and first beta and to be honest I had a lot more fun in beta at times. The people I play the game with have kept me going in EVE though and should do for a while yet.

I think there still is a lot of potential in EVE and I will probably be busy with it for quite some time to come. But I am currently keeping an eye up for whatever http://www.sigilgames.com/ are producing. Though they are hiping it a lot and names don't make a good game I still have hope it might be something good.

Jumpgate still has a special place in my heart. I was a part of that for a few years and might still reactivate. I'm yet to experience the same adrenalin rush in this...

Edited by: Tentimes on 12/10/2003 21:50:18 I think I will try EQ2, but I'm feeling pretty dissilusioned with MMOGs right now.
I am not going to be sold "potential" ever again. I have to say I've never been so sad to see an MMOG go down the pan like eve has. It's almost like the devs left, switched out the lights and we are only just realising.

I'll probably be checking out Horizons and/or World of Warcraft... but I have to say that my hopes for long-term enjoyment of MMO's has been severely disillusioned by EvE.
I never in my life have gotten so little out of a game that could have been so much.
Simply Pathetic.

Hmmm, from future massive games, I'm still not sure what to try. A lot of them are coming...
But most probably - Horizons/Eschaton, and a handful of other titles (like Lineage2 or Mythica). Then I'll have to decide for one.
Eschaton looks very interesting though (fpp simulator/tpp tactical hybrid ?).

Read trough this, I cant belive that noone has mentioned Darkfall?
http://www.darkfallonline.com/
Watch out for this one, the plan to implement some stuff that's pretty impressive for a massive online world. Full colission detection, physics engine that is unheard of, and it's pvp :)
