During last week RA take 2 station in Cache (p7, m53), and station f2a in Insmother. It wasn't great fight, only POS shooting.

ERA had more than 50% coverage in P7- when they took their towers down in there. They decided they couldnt keep refueling their towers, and pulled out.

Well, to be honest: The loss of f2a after only a few weeks frustrates me a bit. After the first loss of that station, people have been camping there day and night over a whole week to close that system down and that was boring like hell most of the time. Maybe the most boring thing some of us have done in their whole life, but it had to be done. So it turns out that it was a complete waste of time. Well at least thanks to Princess Aricia, Aimez and others for the laughs we had sometimes. Playing naked for the win etc.

Lie. There was 19 ERA large towers vs 19 RA large towers when ERA started to unanchor poses and moce out, before that there was 24 ERA large vs 14 RA large. And make a quess what happened with 5 large ERA pos.

RA have encountered zero opposition as they re-take cache. ERA pulled out and nobody else wanted that region / couldn't be bothered getting up at 5am every day to fight the small force that RA has in that area. It's simply not worth the aggravation.
So RA have Cache back, and some of Insmother too. As I briefly discussed with MACTEP the other week, we have reached a stalemate right now and probably the best course of action for both parties is to lay off the region contests for a while and get back to basics.
Regarding F2A, the only reason that system has fallen to RA is due to a hand over in system sov to another party during which time a window of opportunity existed for RA to get sov. |

well done RA. Industrial determination + offensive determination is win.

well done, glad to see RA recovered so well. would be very sad without anyone shaking the foundations.
I remember very good, when coalition was saying about their morale etc. and now I see Komolov (or whoever I spoke to) was right when he said, that RA just "can't loose" (that was half a year ago I think).

Velios I spare to see a meaning of mere existance for your post... fyi we lived there during the war, its just a shame our corp was both too young and too small to endure it for much longer.
and timezine difference? cmon 2-3hours are not that much for sure... I remember the days I was getting up at 6am just to move meg and zyd to empire while n-rael is not camped... and hell the amount of indys flowing in the moring is spectacullar :)
its not someone's fault for not being up, its determination of those who DO get up early with hangovers and fly with "autopilot" and a bottle of water in the other hand.

Sure yeah there is ONLY a 2 hour difference. More so when people start to go to bed around 11pm Euro time and it being 9pm Russian time. So.. yeah it can play a big difference in activity times when only the diehards stay up past 11pm knowing they got work to do IRL the next day.
And this is not even taking in account about US time zone people who are also in those alliances and in some corps are the dominate US zone personnel. RA fighters may deserve props for being determined but it isn't because they are better in fighting or any other measured quality seemingly being given to them.

Aye I wish it could have been different too dude. There are to many emotional events now to really fully fix it. We got poorly treated and wanted out peacefully, RA didn't trust that and got beligerant politicaly and militarialy with us for no reason worth warrenting such actions. It will be a sore spot for a time to come till the time comes RA is dead or made to repent their ways to the entire southern community.
KIA leaving ERA most likely caused the this turn about because POS wars are a tiresome, time consuming and boring game play strategy. Double the aggravation due to the current given in game mechanics with lag and server load totally supports POS defensive posturing results in a stagnant and almost unplayable game play atmosphere. This game is and was meant to be fun for those in it.
But many pilots ambitions and fun game play factor are being driven into the dirt by these issues where people no longer wish to get involved with politics and regional disputes that will inevitably involve large fleets and POS warfare.
As we are coming to know for a time now POS wars are not fun as it consumes all your time, money, patience and resources. For what point overall? There is no permanent destruction of resources in this game and any one and any thing can rebuild over time no matter what happens.
meanwhile the war of boredom continues.

KIA leaving ERA and the knowingly tiresome 'boring' game play strategy given in game mechanics supporting POS defensiveness dragged many pilots ambitions and fun game play factor into the dirt. You have the time difference backwards there: When it is 9pm for most europeans, it is 11pm for the russians, so the timezone difference favours the coalition, not RA.

Oy. :) thank you. I was bumping my head there. I am in Kuwait which is behind the Moscow time zone by an hour.
When I was in Germany contact with RA (then peaceful and friendly) normally dropped off and out around 9pm-10pm.
I stand corrected :).
The time zone differences with American players is still warrented, understanding though there is/was a smaller population then the rest of the population of mostly Euro players during this conflicts.

... it's cool when you come home from work and get the info that RA puts a POS into reinforcement and you have to wait now till 9pm until your POS comes out of reinforcement and rep it, defo an advantage... When you have done this 3 times a week, you know why POS' wars are so boring and it makes no sense to put any more time in it. It's a complete waste of time and NO FUN.

Well there is a consideration worth laughing at though. A public apology by RA towards Ghost repenting the treatment delivered upon my alliance during the time we was supportive of it and afterwards when we departed.
If you can swallow it and do so I am sure RA would gain some public respect and more support proving that yes for once we have a reformed Red Alliance wishing to get along and be more courteous towards neighbors, friends and foes alike.
What say you hmm?

Or better yet. An apology and a decent written statement from the NEW RA diplomatic team, saying as a member did say RA did undergo a massive internal change of structure; put forth towards the entire southern community and showing desires and 'true' wishes to collaborate equally and courteously towards the given current neighbors.
RA has made some progress back with territory given some recent departures from the area. Sooner or later though support systems will become defunt or the server will be tweaked to allow the various forces arraying their might against RA to finally overwhelm the stalwart block it seemed to create behind it's POS's.
So laugh or not to laugh and take seriously. that is the notion at hand.

Edited by: Stormhold on 21/08/2006 14:19:28 I personally never saw the reason to have some kind of a crusade to get all stations away from RA to be honest. It just seemed to be something which reduces the amount of targets in long run, is boring, and doesn't really benefit in any way.
