What is, IYHO, the best PvP warship and loadout for it?
And What are the Cost and Skill Requirements for that Best PvP warship?
Including a typical loadout?
And what is the Real World Time requirement to reach all of those skills, basically?
Thanks

Surely everyone has a favorite Battlewagon? Whatever you think that is.
As for "for what" being a n00b Im not altogether sure. I would guess the answer would be the best all purpose ship, good for solo raiding and also toeing the line in a battle fleet.
Trying to get some idea of what Im striving for here. Ive got 18 mil in the bank and I know thats probably bupkis, but I have no idea how much farther I have to shoot for.

Very Interesting, thanks all.
I would think my preference would be for some sort of tank, a battlewagon to lay alongside the enemy and vaporize at will. However if a carrier is a better choice thats certainly an option to consider. But while I definitely want to be in a Corp I tend to fly solo more than not in most games so I do not want my main ship to be a total support roler.
Whats the ISK cost on either option generally speaking?
And a YEAR to get the skills there? Egads. Thats a serious Wow.

Actually I believe the BB DD etc nomenclature began with the Dreadnaught revolution in warship design. Prior to that time, in the day of the Great White Fleet and Admiral Dewey etc, warships would have a wide array of weapon types, 1 inch 4 inch 6 inch 8 inch 11 inch etc all on a single warship and jammed in various locations including limited ports in the sides of the hull not far from the old gunports of old for much of the batteries. The British Dreadnaught was built with a new style, a single main battery in multi gunned turrets with wide arcs and then a secondary battery of smaller guns merely to clear away torpedo boats. This, plus increased armor etc, improved effectiveness so much that all prior designs were immediately rendered obsolete and Navies had to start from scratch (which btw led to WWI in many ways). Thus the USN decided to move from calling ships just Battleships (B) to Old Battleships (OB) and modern battle ships (B). The same nomenclature change was effected throughout the fleet. Gone were Armored Cruisers (AC) and hello Heavy Cruisers (CA) etc.
I think anyway. But thats the change the Navy made in the early 20th century, from B to BB and OB for Great White Fleet style ships.
