The Freespacer Confederation has formed based on the idea that all in the verse are entitled to free access to low sec space without fear of violence or oppression. We feel Concord has shirked their duties in low sec and we seek to adress their lack of judgement. We are small but will grow over time. We will fight to the death if necessary to defend those that cannot defend themselves.
We put those that would use force and fear to restrict the free access to these area on notice. If not today, someday we will be coming for you. We will drive you into the lawlessness of 0.0 space where your low character belongs.

Great idea for a corp. Good luck! And don't let the bitter pirates (and pirate wannabes) get you down.

LOL, I often wonder with these announcements, why would you do it? Do you really want to be a target? As a small "anti-0.0-establishment" corp, would not stealth and suprise be your best weapons?
But hey what do I know....

Fair question. Why announce in advance. I thought about that, the possibility that we would just be putting a target on our backs. But given what we want to do that target is there anyways. What I hoped to do was state our purpose and to encourage like minded individuals that we should stand up to these pirates. To inspire them to join us in this fight either directly or indirectly.

I understand your reasoning, but I do believe it is flawed. Being your a much smaller corp than your targets, I still fail to see how announcing your intentions could stratigicly enhance your position? You might get a few offers of assistance from others, however, does that really outweigh your ability to suprise your foe and gain the tacital advantage by not allowing them to know your about to engage? Let em lose a few ships, before you do, that should be announcement enough.

If you can back your words, the announcment is fine. Pirates are tough. They are some of the BEST pvpers in the game. They might not have honor, and they might cause people grief who are just going about their own business, but remember, they are "pirates". Most of the good pirates corps bring in only the most skilled pilots. We are talking about 20+ million skillpoints, years of pvp experiance in eve, etc etc. Your biting off a lot with a statement like this.
BUT, again, if you and your crew know what you are doing. If you are well skilled, if you are well experianced in pvp and you have a good industrial support, best of luck. You will do some real damage. I know some great anti-pirate corps that do very well against their enemies. Just know what you are getting into :)
Have fun, and good luck to both sides

GL in your endeavours.
Some pirates (like Establishment) are pretty hardcore, but most I have come across are not so impressive and I am sure you will have some successes and a lot of fun in trying.
Nice to see someone trying something other than the usual "yarr we are bad ass pvper pirates terrorising aspace in our l33t stabbabonds of D00m".
Would be interested to know if you are referring to low-sec empire space or 0.0 space for the most part?

Good luck , there are many corps and maybe small alliances that are like you that try and only sometimes succeed, only thing is you'll never win - being ebil is good , and a lesser known fact , all people that are ebil are sexeh . From a role playing PoV , if CONCORD can't handle marshalling low-sec what makes you think you can do a better job ?

By low sec I mean .4 to .1. 0.0 is by definition lawless and we accept that pilots that choose to go there can expect all manner of dangers. In particular we plan to begin with griefers and ore thieves. We often encounter systems that are populated by peaceful miner corporations that are plagued by small numbers pilots that choose to do them harm. We have heard their calls for help and this is where we plan to begin. Impossible odds? Certain destruction? Most likely. But there will be victories, no matter how small that will make this effort worth the sacrifice.

oh good another do good anti pirate corp. last week there was Charming inc (that lasted long ) n this week we have Freespacer Confederation.
Dont get me wrong its good that you want to help rather then hinder expansion into low sec. But i dont expect youll last long out there if you go about it blowing your trumpet's n calling as many hostiles to arms as you can. You could call yourselves brave but youll still die, again & again & again & again & again... _______________________________________________ The above comments & views do not reflect the opinions of Cosmic Odyssey or Chorus of Dawn; just those of an enlightened member |

IOI: 4
0.0 is lawless? Hardly. The law in 0.0 is far more draconian than the laws of Empire space. The Republic, Empire, Federation or State won't shoot you if you happen to enter their systems.
