The new Temporary rules is simply there because people use the mailing list to dumb their overprice stuff and the concerned the items they sell are already cheaper on the market.

Was a good move temporarily suspending the new items. It was a bit annoying seeing those mails.
Also, a suggestion. Maybe look into doing something about the "oh look here, I'm selling these items at the exact same price as jita sell orders, hohoho" mails.
Those are annoying as hell to see and were the reason I unsubscribed for a long time. Now I'm back on there and still seeing those.
Having said that, it's a good resource overall. |

I'm really looking forward to the channel being used again post spam. I use to buy stuff off this list all the time. If your not jita based you can turn a quick profit everytime someone make a mistake and needs to dump stock. |

It's in game. Just go to the in game mail client, and use the 'add mailing list button', then filling in 'bulk trade' FuzzWork Enterprises http://www.fuzzwork.co.uk/ Blueprint calculator and other 'useful' utilities. |

Good:
i sell my stuff almost emedeatly
Easy read i realy dont have to browse 300 crappy forum post. People make simple adds. WtB WtS... its realy easy on the eyes
Bad: 1. I sometimes make an add and then at one point i notice i have more stuff to add so i kinda feal like i should not spam another mail but wait an hour or 2. The border between spaming your adds and acting like a pro and postin something like a public advert is rather wierd. The mailing list lacks definition in that sense. Is it an almost like a stock exchange where i put my add up and somebody picks it up but extreamly serious place where only big boys play in trilions.
2. A lot of i like to call them ambulance chasers. If i wrote "WTS my corps 1000 units price 1.23 isk per corps location in Polaris. No transport" it means you do not mail me wiht "can you bring your price down" or "can you move them" I kinda figured from the start if location is listed that there is no transport and if you do not write "negotiable" that the price is NON negotiable. But i gues that i just me. Also those same ambulance chaser have rather wirde way of communicating...
3. "Sold." Basically multiplys spam. and mail blinking. But does nothing. But it is extramly important so you dont get mails 48 hours after you sold something. I have no way of making the mailing list without "Sold" and still make it functional
Ideas:
Mailing list, people in it, and everything connected to it should function like this in my opinion:
I post a mail. you private mail me to make you a contract or that im talking 2 blocks or can i get half a block since maybe you are a weirdo that sells blocks of 1000 cap guns. i post mail that is sold.
1. For this to work standard titles need to be intorduced.
For that Titles need to be normal and some ruling about them should be listed. Title should have 2 parts: what and waht item written in a standard menaing
"WTS"/"WTB"/"SOLD" : "Item"
No !"#$%&//()=?*+'- ONLY ":" and "," for separation of what and separation of items in what items and none of those "re: re: RE:"
Proper Example:
"WTS: Playboys"
"SOLD:Playboys"
Example of stuff that iritates me with titles that just makes everithing look ******** and demenas the mailing list: (Actuall examples of mail titles)
Re: Re: WTS Scourge Fury Heavy T2 Modules (has only 3 not like 60 different types) WTB T2 Frigates (Harpy) (why didnt you just wrote WTB Harpy we know you are buying more then 1 and we all know what a Harpy is Even if we dont it takes us 6 seconds to find out since you are gonna link it in the mail)
I dont think this needs to be regulated allot by any rules or threath of ban... but more like a guide how to make it look more nice and the nicer it looks the better it will work.
2. The mailing list has to benefit me more then actually making a market sell order or just /jitabuy all i need. But in doing that you are in a direct conflict with the market. most of the people on it dont have problem selling their goods... they are just avoiding the broker. Like me So people should be explained that unless they are selling some really weird stuff you cant just /buy on market like
1000 battleships 10 tril trit 10 mill faction missiles and so forth
they should sell stuff at lover then market avarage or atleast lover then sell orders cause if you are looking for a market price and you are not offering somebody the service of "piling orders in whole region to only 1 station" i dont see purpose of it.
: This is just a random tought form me that came to my mind a couple of times.
If its purpose is avoiding tax spam of orders should be encouraged If its purpose is piling order service so you dont have to redock 50 times or setup a buy order and wait why i see only t2 some cap bpcs and so forth.... where are the trit and t1 ships? For each order made to mailing list there is 1 order less on market in a trade hub. since there is 1250 people on the mailing list the impact on the rest is rather substantial Why are there no Piling WTB orders? My ego is the the size of my carriers jump range. |

Thank you for your feedback kagan i've always found the lack of WTB mails suspicious aswell but i have no immediate answer for that at the moment for me the short answer would be that the people who WTB are lazy and wait on the people who WTS to advertise and buy it when they get the occasion
also i dont know how long you have been using the mailing list but a lot improved ever since i introduced this part on the evelopedia page it was just a general mess before : http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Bulk_Trade_(Mailing_list)#How_to_write_a_mail_for_the_mailing_list
i will see what i can do concerning the mail subjects because i have found them a bit stupid overtime and they need a template in order to improve efficiency. i think i will ask people to put if they are up for negotiations in the mail subject as well.
The mailing list is growing everyday and by consequence this means that more mails are sent , people should always be careful when it comes to send a mail on the mailing list and make their inventory beforehand .
Your #3 argument concerning the sold mail is mainly in order for the Mail Posters because if they dont post that their goods are sold they will get mails even sometimes 2 weeks afterwards and it can be annoying to either have to reply to all of the mails or even from the other hand sending a mail and never receive an answer.
I have no answer for stupid people who dont take the time to read the mails properly even if i made an effort . the effects of a new regulation would take at least 2 month to be used widely and it would require me to enforce it for this amount of time at least because even to this day some people dont understand that they need to read the rules properly , a small percentage still but it happens.
I will think about instating new rules but i need more feedback because one opinion has to be heard but doesnt forcibly tells you what the other 1500 are thinking

Why are there no Piling WTB orders?
The first is something I would support fully, the SOLD post would make it obvious that you can disregard older mails with that product from said provider.
As a guess for why the WTB is not filling up, I would suggest that most marketeers have build a network with providers around them. Taking myself as example: a lot of products I sell, lay in stock at jita and can be ordered at will from my supplier-network. Thinking JIT this can be done at depleting stocks or up-going markets (mostly those 2 occur at the same time, or just after each-other). Hereby I assume that other marketeers, corporations and alliances have arranged the same supply structure. Our producers will have continues buy orders on the trade hubs, so wont have problems receiving the goods necessary for production. So suppliers and marketeers wont use WTB, and the bigger buyers just order when needed within their network. This way a WTB order will only be set for orders not provided by the network of said persons or actors, so the number of those orders will be far lower as WTS orders. WTS orders can be overproduction, random production, dumping, speculation and more, so will have more change to end up at the here discussed list.

Only thing I'd like is to have one standardized posting method, at least for titles, so its a little more organized, but i get thats kind of a pipedream. |
