it would be great having a rating system for everyone posting on the forum, but since this is quite difficult to intergrate, i think that everyone of us should contribute as much as possible, post warnings if necessary, letting peoples be aware of possible scamms.
.it takes only few minutes.

Not true, how can the seller prove they sent you the code and you didn't buy it yourself? Sending code before ISK is a recipe for legit sellers to get scammed the other way around.

Its called evemail and pasting in the convo window? Did you know all chat's are logged? Its like saying how can they prove they gave me a code after they sent it? What if I paid the isk, got the code then petitioned it saying I never got it? It works the same both ways.

With the new system being buildt, it would be lovly if it was possible to sell 'codes' for isk where the system does check the code before getting up for sale. That means the buyer KNOW its an valid code - why not make the game better devs .. )
During the 'key' are for sale, it should not be able to enter a dublicate key into the system or being used for extending the time.
I hope the devs will expand the new system to be even more bulletproof for such items that are legal to trade like TCs and then the devs could spend more time drinking beer ;p

What if you use one account to buy and use the code on a different one? What if you don't use it right away?
You're wrong, just stop spreading bs.

Quick question:
What about using the escrow system for selling GTC's?
Make a BM, rename it the GTC code, sell said BM as a GTC code. Would this be "more trusted" or make things worse?

I don't mind having the !, don't get me wrong about that. But I do mind that some people judge people by the !, while some have the ! for years already. . ..::...............::.. Innocence proves nothing! |

I agree that this needs to be stickied! I also agree that we should have a list of legitimate sellers. Those of you that are just getting into the market should perhaps sell other wares and build up a clientel network before you start selling your GTCs--just a suggestion though.
BTW, I am in the market to buy to a 30-day TC so please eve-mail me in game.

Hm...I used to buy some GTC's...and I always let those guys send me the code first...of course that again only really works on a base of trust...so I have made my own buyer thread where the sellers posted that I am good...
Its always best to only buy from people with a good history or (if you are new and want to sell) sell to people with a good buyer history so you can build up your own sellers history.
/signed for the sticky
P.S.: Currently only buying for pretty low prices

Have decided from now on I'm going to add the names of people I successfully bought GTC off to the bottom of my bio, just a shame I cant remember the names of those I bought from previously! Will also add any scammers if I'm unlucky enough to get scammed! Have told guy I just bought code off that I'm doing this so he can use me as a reference if he wishes to!

Okay, scammers are now randomly bumping other threads to make threads like this, and their own GTC sell threads that people have identified as scams drop off the first few pages. If you're reading this, please bump this thread to help prevent it getting buried.
