You can all laugh but I like the mining music the man made. Keeps me in de mood while I rag my rubber dolly once again in the cabin of my mining vessel. Quistion is "Did he made more music so I can add it"?

Yes, the music and sound effects in this game are awesome. He did a very good job with that. LeKjart worked on some of the sound effects also. Overall the creative side of CCP is absolutely top notch.
If you want to tell him you like the music "in person" you can catch him on the #eve-chaos channel sometimes. His nick is RealX. For info about the IRC channel check the patch review forum. ----------------------------------------- Sig rented by Drethen Nerevitas. |

Actually LeKjart didn't do any sound effects, he does game design and in-game physics / navigation. The man who did a lot of the sound effects is called Kjartan Kjartanssonand is a sound designer who has done the sound design for a lot of films. And yes, Jon Hallur created more songs in the same theme that are not on the EVE playlist by default.

I have to agree, I absolutely love the music in Eve. Especially "Nouvelle rouvenor hero" and "Objective almost accomplished". Release a CD :-).

Ah... sorry my mistake. You can see where I could get that name and nick name mixed up. LeKjart is the nick name of Kjartan Pierre Emilsson. Kjartan must be a popular name there. ----------------------------------------- Sig rented by Drethen Nerevitas. |

The onboard music selection is truly a masterpiece. Weather for the lone mining op, flirting with that hot Gallente redhead in the station elevator or for keeping the adrenalin flowing while running SI's gate blockades.
The same applies for music selection on this site too.

Thank you CCP

I could listen to "The Rose of Victory" for hours; it's so delicate and beautiful. I've sent the link to DL it from this site to people who don't play games, but love music. - - - -

We won't talk about how many cruisers I lost this weekend, nor how many nice railguns, or T2 enhancers. We're going to skip right over that. We're going to talk about my new Raven. It is like flying a small city, and the city's only export is missiles.

Yeah the music in this game is very sweet, AND very trippy when you're under the right influence
However, from the MP3 downloads back before the game was released, he made a song called IN-FLIGHT-01 .. there was also 02 but these never made it in the official playlist.. then again, the official playlist has a lot more songs than are available for download. Still, that INFLIGHT-01 is a great song and I wish Jon or someone else can release an updated playlist with ALL the songs made. ------------------------------------------- If you kill them, they will die!

Maybe in a next patch they can add music or make it available for download at this site. Anayway I would love to add more songs to the game from John.

Hi all, and thank you very very much.
If all goes as I have forseen, there will be many, many more songs written for EVE, and a CD will be released and perhaps CDs.
Just an unofficial survey.
What would you like more of ? a) the same b) more upbeat stuff c) interactive music (drum overlay on the ambients.)
Thank you all. jonhallur - RealX Sound Engineer / Music Composer |

Edited by: Gan Ning on 17/10/2003 09:10:45 I think we would all like music that changes according to the situation. E.g. in battle you get upbeat music, when in a gang you get pompos fleet navy type of music and when mining or travelling you get sleepy space dreamy music! :)
Of course with an option to have music change according to situation or just normal as it is now.
The music is great it reminds me of the good ol days in the Amiga scene where everyone was making sound tracks.

(song are ahrd to find, though. the CD I've got was the last one in all of Paris =|)

Thanks alot for the incredible music RealX, I'm a big fan.
My vote would go for more more more of the same, not more upbeat. (Please please please)
I'll be listening to these tunes long after I've quit playing EVE (Not that I see that coming anytime soon).
Can't wait for those CD's, will get all my ambient loving friends copies as well!
BTW, anyone tried listening to Global Communication while playing? (Preferably 76:14 or Remotion...) |

I have actually had the old song that you could D/L on my playlist for over a year. Can't really remember when I got them first.

I'd like more upbeat stuff, adds a bit more contrast to the already excellent music in-game now.
