I'm sat in work now with unrestricted internet access, but unable to play Eve as my company has strict download and games policies
I just wondered how you lot survive the day waiting for your next Eve "Fix"

Ahh, I see where the confusion is now. I can access any site I want as they are not filtered or blocked, however, I am not allowed to download any software or play any games. Which isn't good as Eve needs the client software installed. :(

Eve will quite happily run from a usb stick, no need for any files to touch the hard drive.

Get a job where you dont have to feel like that.
Ok, might be slighly extreme to switch jobs because of a computer game, but if you feel strongly enough about it... then maybe. :)

If youre not having fun at your work it would actually be a good idea to find another job. Imagine being bored for 40 years straight -----

I very much agree. I couldnt live with myself if I hated my job. Ive tried to do something I hated before, and I lasted 4 months, then I had to quit to not become one of those people who hates everybody and everything.
Im working on getting a new job currently and Im optimistic... :)

That's the spirit! I know that I would be a sad shallow man if I didn't like my job (I do about 3 hours of work a week and get paid ú200 for it, I know, it's awesome)

Sys admin for an advertising publication, luckily for me there are only 5 computers in the entire company 2 of which are for me, they rarely break yet I get paid every week no matter what I do.

Bah.
I like hard work too much to hold a job like that.
I would be bored out of my mind in a week, flat.

Yeah, you'd think so wouldn't you but free internet access isn't bad and I can do what I like most of the time, Eve keeps me sane whilst at work, where do you think I am now?

In case you forgot, you're still not allowed to play any games, whether you downloaded the software or not.
How about you don't defraud your employer of his wages, and actually do what you're paid to do? Or else quit and go do something else. ________________________________________________

All I did was provide a means of transporting the eve files, I never assumed that anyone would use that to play the game on their work system when they should actually be working, what naughty people. Anyway, what if he has a lot of time where he has nothing to do? some would say that I earn my free time by doing my job well in the first place.

I just applied that logic to your post and now my brain's stuck in an infinite loop.
It's just as bad as: "This statement is untrue" because if it was true it would be a lie, which makes it untrue, but then you couldn't say it's untrue because then it would really be true, which means it isn't true, and..and I've gone cross eyed.
