Ahh, I see where the confusion is now. I can access any site I want as they are not filtered or blocked, however, I am not allowed to download any software or play any games. Which isn't good as Eve needs the client software installed. :(

Get a job where you dont have to feel like that.
Ok, might be slighly extreme to switch jobs because of a computer game, but if you feel strongly enough about it... then maybe. :)

In case you forgot, you're still not allowed to play any games, whether you downloaded the software or not.
How about you don't defraud your employer of his wages, and actually do what you're paid to do? Or else quit and go do something else. ________________________________________________

All I did was provide a means of transporting the eve files, I never assumed that anyone would use that to play the game on their work system when they should actually be working, what naughty people. Anyway, what if he has a lot of time where he has nothing to do? some would say that I earn my free time by doing my job well in the first place.

I play eve at work sometimes. Unfortunately, as the only person in the IT department for a company with over 100 PCs and a handful of servers, in the time it takes to boot up eve and set a destination, i get interrupted. I get paid pretty well, but free time is a luxory i still can't afford.

I read the forums. The county wouldn't like it if one of their 911 Operators had EVE splashed across our three screen setup (though that'd be sweet).
Of course they do have several flat panel TVs in the call center so we can watch TV when we're not busy.

First buy a cheap router for your home (IPSEC based). Second talked to the IT guy if you are not him and do a little payoff if needed or trickery i.e. i work from home and the office and need to do secure file transfers, bosses love it when you want do extra work from home, hehe. Then set up a encrpted VPN tunnel to your home from your office. Turn down the z-buffer (I think, its one of the graphic options). Launch eve for your office computer from your home computer over the tunnel. Net captures will show encrypted packets. No games on your local machine and depending on your office computer graphics you can play Eve all day long and nobody will know.

Weeeeeeeee, oh FYI virtual server has the potential to have the same impact outlook had on business users. If your in IT and don't have a test environment you is just crazy or stupid you choose.

Also, I'm my own boss at a company I helped create. So if I am not working when I should be, I'm only hurting myself. ___________________________________________ The deeper you stick it in your vein, the deeper the thoughts there's no more pain. ___________________________________________

Actually at my old company my boss used to walk around staring at people's work asking what they were doing and whenever anybody would zoom out for a bit, he'd ask what they were doing x 100 times a day.
I seriously doubt that your boss walking around will not notice your BS ganking poor innocent souls somewhere in JITA ;-)
In addition, there are backstabbing colleagues, who will mostly gossip about you playing EVE to your boss, that sometimes you are dreaming of podding, wishing there was no cloning (ressurection if u like) feature in - game.
PS: I'm unemployed, live at home with mom and dad, but i'm optimistic ;-) hehehehehe

actually you don't need it installed, just copy the ccp folder to a 2 gig usb drive and it works fine. i wouldn't do any combat for it, but mining and selecting a skill training to do is fine.
