Thank you "very many", but what about those people that have arranged their time and plans to be able to participate in the championship next weekend (17th-18th). Damn (ough, please, forgive me my swearing), but most of us are grown people and have job's, family and other affairs, which have to be taken into account. And now, when everything was set and well, the plans have changed, and the tournament is postponed by one week. Holy cucumbers...
Thanks, I better stop now, or I'll end up swearing only... _______________________________________________ If ifs and ands were pots and pans, I would grow mushrooms in my pants. |

No cruise missiles... wonder if there are a few Kestrels suddenly put up for sale after hearing that?
Seriously, nice call on limiting missiles. It keeps the houses who can have Caldari wingmen from getting an automatic win... no group of Punishers could stand up to 2 or 3 Kestrels raining cruise missiles!
Shame about the closed in arena though, I was looking forward to reading about a Minmatar corp raiding the trials. You KNOW a couple of them would love to...

The old planning referred to next weekend. I think we can safely assume the Championship itself will take place the weekend after the pre-trials

OK, something which isn't completely clear to me.
is there any limitation on the number of ship TYPES you can use??
and do we know beforehand which ships are being used?
IE - does a team have to announce what ships shey are using for a particular tournament, and can you change ships when fighting against different houses?
(so if one were to fly a punisher in sarum, it can be changed to , say, an inquisitor when flying vs another house?) -----

Edited by: DaSaint on 17/10/2003 13:02:33 Just a couple of questions: 1) what about looting? will it be authorized in any manner (much as I see no use for it, I assume you can't dock anywhere to fit the looted modules onto your ship, but maybe you can use them IF you survive) 2) don't you think there's a certain imbalance in the tourney, as some houses are allowed to use whatever pilot/ship they like, while others are stuck to amarrians? I mean, yeah, the sake of RPG and stuff, but this definitely sucks...

Are we guaranteed a fair fight for the finals or will the CCP manipulate the results for the purposes of their story arc? Are four of the houses fighting a lost battle without even realising it?

Edited by: Nemesis I on 17/10/2003 16:27:44 Have to say what I find odd, is that some of the houses only allow for Amarr pilots and ships, yet there is a free hand to use projectiles and hybrids etc...... spats of inconsistency there :)

AS I understand it and the Rules; 1) this is a RolePlaying Game/Event, as such dealing with diversity is just part of it you may not like it but you need to make strategy for it, the same concept applies to the rules and use of missles you POD, you out! I am Practicing this week with my Champion lead to make sure what is effective and what is not..simply launching 3x20 missles, hopeing for the quick kill, sheepishly looking at the ref after the POD, when the disqualification comes and saying "but, but..." is not an excuse.
(okay where was I going with this?...)

Oh, I almost forgot, one last thing: what about drones? will the use of drones be allowed? and, if so, of whatever drones? (hopefully I will get an answer in the end!!)

Question. Will ships be allowed to repair and reload ammo between rounds? It's a pretty important issue as it changes the tournament from more of a sprint and into a marathon.

I can't believe this, do some of you people actually think before you ask a question? A lot of you can figure out an answer before the question gets asked, but some of you are too STUPID to figure it out. OMG

OMG, i m among the stupid, too. but i ll try to become better. here is my educated guess on answers to so far not asked questions (i was thinking about what happened to sentry guns when i came up with them...) be prepared!
1. expect to have the referee to shoot at ships for no apparent reason with one hell of a gun.
2. expect mid-combat rule changes. (no more lasers, projectiles only from now on! light missiles have double range but half damage! speed limit 423 in the upper half of the arena! only backward spelling in local!) they ll call it eve-ball!
kc51 realy is right. we should stop posting stupid questions about repairs and splash. ccp has everything under control. this event has been planned by a skilled group of determined devs. don t worry, have fun!

Har Har Har, by far thats the funniest thing ive heard about CCP so far. This 'skilled group of determined devs' have so far had to : 1) Remove and alter their own prime fiction backgrounds to allow this 'event' to include other than Amarr race. 2) Changed their minds over this event on at least 2 occasions, the leatest being the time the fighting was due to take place. 3) Made the House you chose to represent based on your time zone rather than your roleplaying preference. So much for free will, story and roleplaying there then.
This 'skilled group of determined devs' are skilled at getting it wrong, skilled at creating more bugs than they EVER fix with their patches, skilled at creating events that have to be constantly changed for being naff, skilled at back tracking on promises -game content etc, skilled at playing favourites (lets not forget the TTi + miner II bp here, their very own cash machine courtesy of CCP), skilled in creating an atmosphere of anger and resentment, skilled at having a non existent customer service, in fact, all their skills are in the negative.. CCP skill points gained - 45690870 faction ratings : Player base -8.9, shops selling game -3.6, promoting game -5.8 This is their skill; they are skilled at being unskilled.

Edited by: Rebell on 19/10/2003 04:37:51 Couple of things that I would like cleared up.
After a fight, will all the team be transported back to their original location? From what it sounds like, only the people who have been killed will be sent back to get a new ship. That would be preety bad as the rest of the team has to go back and repair their armour and struct damage to be in top condition for the next fight.
Will it be possible to pick up your cargo? People will be using scout weapons and very expensive, loot-only equipment. It would be preety bad if you'd have to leave it behind in case you get blown up. --- ...I came to realize the obviousness of the truth. What is EVE? Control. EVE is a computer generated dream world built to keep us under control in order to change a human being into a beta tester. |

Will combatants be allowed a certain amount of time before the fight starts say like a minuete to assess the battle plan to use and able to see what ships the opposition has.

Questions:
- Can House Sarum & House ArFishapur use Drones
 - If a pilot doesn't lose his/her ship can they still request transportation back into the EVE Universe to collect more ammo/modules etc ...
