How will our first round opponent be chosen? Most number of votes vs least number of votes, random selection etc etc?

Which ones? Sensor dampeners, ECMs or tracking disruptors? Or all of them?

Are you sure you don't want to restrict the number of drones?
i can see how a house that doesn't restrict the race of the ship will have a slight advantage if they launch a total of 20 light drones. (at least i know there is at least 1 frigate with a 250 dronebay, maybe there is even a bigger one?)

are they fix'ed, and if so, how long til they are banned from the championship along with civ rail guns and so on

Read the overall Championship rules again, All Champions and there wings are limited to Frigate class Ships, some House Rules limit that to Amarr only and Some are Open, I doult well see a huge amount of Drones as only a very limited type of frigate has a drone bay and as Combat drones take larger amounts of availible Space it is even more so. These types of frigates are weaker in other areas as well. I would hate to see these Championship's overburden with unnessecary Rules

Too late !!
Will Smartbombs be the next class of weaponry to be limited  And are FOF-Light missiles permissable (not that they're really necessary anymore of course  )

... Better keep them handy; 2 sensor dampeners + afb + 150mm rails (+ launchers) = shooting blind fish in the barrel if the opponent expected a 'standard', fair fight... i still feel rather ill after trying it out yesterday, to be honest :/

I agree, the team that doesn't bring sensor dampeners is the team that will end up getting slammed if they can't close range quickly enough.

How about making a positive list instead of banning as we go along.
ie. these ships
these weapon classes
these module classes
etc etc.
if it's not in the list it's not allowed

It's all about the duels. And no, if you lack wingmen, tough noogies for ya, the opponent isn't restricted to use an equal amount of wingmen as you
