Do not post any new bookmark/insta related threads unless you got something really new that isn't already presented in the 10 threads below

I'd like to add my post which contains a combination of several different features, including limiting bookmark transfers, charts of determined standardized quality for closer in warps, a standings / subscription based 'beacon' system tied into sovernity (in addition to charts), and other goodness. After all, a single solution is never as good as a well thought out, integrated plan.

remove bm system now (clean start with kali) restrict bms to personal create, read, delete but not copy option to link to corp, and or alliance bm (folders)... limits on player corp and alliance... have skill for limit range (npc corps have no option, player level do still do)
0km warp in
gate statistics for .5 and below security... right click get report: in the last: 5min seen 5 players (in visual grid range), 30min, 1h, 24h
this works for the other side of the gate or the current side of gate... the data only says players not ship types or names.
lets face it the bm system is far far out of date... today we have things like dictors and future will bring other tools to the game as well... with such options there is no point to not let 0km warp in... because if you do want to stop someone from warping on insta you have such tools to do so... thus no reason for instas if they cause so much trouble on server side... the little gate statistics are perfect because low sec empire is not safe so the gates will give you some stats that only you can be at that gate within range to access not on map. this helps or informs you of any possible gate camps or travel data... just basic travel/traffic report.

I also believe that dictor bubbles are fine, but warp bubbles in 0.0 should be displayed on the map and on the gate stats, why? Because they are anchor type of itemsą also this should come into lay when they release large bubbles ;) not right away just like the players in space.. it wouldnt give number of them or what type just that there was on in system... and would not say were :P
also adding some skills for having more bm for personal and corp/alliance stuff would be good... to give those that wish more something to train for so that ppl dont just spam and have random bm's and old out dated ones for no reason...
also kind of maybe linking in gang for instas would be nice... and or disable enable amount of bms for corp/alliance... so that for different regions you could have max active and inactive bms
this is all to limit exploits and stress/load on servers

my idea is missing so it seem.
i want bm removed but a skill introduced, wich allows u to get to gates at 0 km IF u have been there many times, how many times u need to have been there is up to the lvl of skill u have.

There are some great ideas in this thread, and personally I'd be happy with many of them, pretty much anything would be an improvement over what we have now.
But whatever the change turns out to be, it is going to have a big impact on gameplay, and I feel that we deserve to have some advance notice, and some idea where this is in the devs priorities. If it's going to be six months, you need to tell us.
Can we please get a dev to reply to this thread with even a rough estimate on when we can expect a solution to the bookmark problem?
also, I second the the suggestion that this thread be marked as a sticky at the top of the forum.

ya it would be nice to know... but im still sticking with my idea or you can call it combo idea whatever
i think something new is the idea of having gate statistics... basic details... like you do on map about players in a sys? but instead it woudl give you stats of the date... on both sides of the system... you have to aproach in jump range though to get them... and the stats are auto updated 5,30,1, 24h simply says the visible amount (in grid) of players for those time frams... thats all... oh and it would be like .5 and below... why i say .5 because next sys could be a .4
