Sweet jesus, that is the worst rationalization ever. Getting a bonus to the most effective type of warfare does make the Scorpion the single most effective gang BS around, followed by the Javelin Raven as the king of damage dealers for skirmish-sized engagements (along with the versatility for a tank or EW). Not only does the Raven outperform in raw damage dealt during an actual fight (huge volley damage in addition to at least two free volleys in comparison to any shortrange turret BS), it also gets to choose the perfect type most drastically of any BS - even the notorious Dominix can only pick two heavy drones, two mediums and one light drone set. All the while the Raven gets these goodies while maintaining full alignment and doing plenty of damage to cruisers.

Speaking of the Dominix, it's badly overrated. Badly limited range and manueverability, limited damage output letting decent tanks hold until the injectors run out and all that. It's still the easiest battleship to solo (and has great versatility for alternate setups), but being in a class that doesn't really solo well against anything but itself that doesn't mean too much.

Anyway, Damp Raven > Domi. Damp or ECM Raven + tackler = dead Domi. The advent of EC-300/600s in general has made Domis quite beatable by almost anyone really.


As for actual soloing ships ? Most T2 cruisers can be molded into something pretty sweet for solowork. Caldari do have it roughest in that department for pure soloing, but they make up for it by being the best without even remote competition in small and large gangs.

Holy lord, Raven in theroy is highest DPS maybe, but if the ship is killed before the torps ever get there then it is no good. Thats the point here. Again for Scorp, number theroy and bonus looks good on paper but since it is the weakest BS and always called primary it does little good. plus EWar is so jacked that enough multispecs in any ship is overpowered.
