Edited by: Chewan Mesa on 03/09/2006 19:34:05 TCF are still holding D7 as far as I know.
Greatly outnumbered but with the current lag and their improved tactics they happily kill D2 Dreads :)

D7 was still in TCF hands yesterday, and looked very, VERY secure.
A friend in D2 told me that they had lost many dreads trying to take it.

Things are -relatively- calm in Tribute right now. There hasn't been a really serious attempt from the coalition to kick us out of D7 since about one week before the dragon patch, so we roam in tribute and around. We've got quite a lot of nice fights away from POSes, and we're waiting to see what will happen first: another big tide of metal coming at us, or a diplomatic settlement...

By diplomacy you mean you bring more mercenaries? And who would be so completely insane to assemble another 350+ fleet while the server is not running... "optimal"? Of course you¦d be quite happy and your pos would be #1 @ your killboard.

You are a tard. Your lame excuses etc you hint at in an initially friendly thread, makes your alliance look stupid, although not as stupid as it makes you look.

Mercenaries? I just spoke with one of our diplomats and FC, and they comfirmed that we haven't contacted any mercenary entity. Where do you find your infos?

The second part is actually true, isnt it? Exactly this scneario has happened in the last large assault in d7-.

Yes they still controll d7, but that's it. If the servers could handle the load, their pos's would have been waisted 2 weeks ago.
Outnumbered my ass. They have the best and biggest ally in the game - LAG.
So how many shuttles can you fit in an indy ???

not trying to detrect from TCF's pretty commendable defence of the D7 system. But Lag probably as much if not more then their tactics has been responsible for the such high losses by the offensive forces.
& with the gate queue system supposedly (as i understand it) making the moving of the huge numbers of ships into 1 system needed almost impossible (correct me if im wrong or misunderstand it). Coupled with the server issues atm imo it isnt the most practicable plan to restart the assault. _______________________________________________ The above comments & views do not reflect the opinions of Cosmic Odyssey or Chorus of Dawn; just those of an enlightened member |

Of course lag affected the outcome of the battles happening around a POS. Pretending otherwise would be stupid. But I don't know of anything TCF did to deliberately increase lag. Some of the things we do, like letting spare ships in space, do have the side effect of increasing lag a little, but that only that, a side effect.
And, the way I see it, TCF has the advantage of the defensor (POS), and Morsus has the advantage of massive help from it's allies. So the situation is pretty balanced, I think...

You can remember, or misinterpret, whatever you like, it doesn't change facts.
The facts are that I'm in a better position than youself to know why we do this or that.
The facts are also that I consider myself a correct, decent player (in a moral as well as skilled sense). And most my corp-mates, if not all, feel the same. If TCF players were creating lag just to create lag, I'd be raising all hell for Colsup to get out of it, and knowing my corp, I wouldn't have a lot of pushing to do to get that. But I don't, because I know for a fact that we don't use exploits (okay, a few individuals might use them, but there's bad apples in every alliance, and they're certainly not representatives of our alliance).
I'll add that any use of exploits would be directly contrary of the reasons why TCF was created in the first place. (To make a name of ourselves and play the game at the highest levels)

TCF having 100 people in gang and maybe 50 to 100 spare ship dispersed over our 17 PoS sure create all the lag, your 350+ people blob did not create ANY lag. Stop being crybabies, no matter what 450+ people in a system fighting there's going to be crippling lag, you chose to fight knowing the risk, you lost, get over it.

y u have hunderds of shuttles on pos for its defence, isnt that logical to everyone ?
get a grip u r still there cuz of game mechanics, u should say ty ccp and stfu. just dont get me wrong, i know there r some good fighters in tcf, but still if it wasnt pos&lag warfare u would be wiped out of region in matter of hours...
edit : spelling :/
