[1] I heard about these in an interview I read and was wondering what they do exactly and what someone could do to me in the game when they use one.....I don't like the idea of people having an unfair advantage over me when I'm playing the game. |

words. only words. and for blasting somone out of space: a good fighting programm is difficult to write. but how about activating all modules with one key stroke? autoreloading missiles? good jump out? endless possibilities, but no autokill, so far. keep yourself informed on e-bay.. |

[11] Isn't there a way that they can stop people from using these programs....if they can make loads of cash really quickly then it will just leave us honest players high and dry and poor, compared to everyone else. |

[13] easy. monitor economic developments and scan for "overregular" moves. or at least follow hints from players. ccp doesnt seem to recognise how bad this is for the game. |

[23] ok for those of you that haven't really tried it I will explain why it does not work. Eve is a very unstable program, there are things that pop up or don't go away that you cannot control or do anything about. Ever had that buggy entering space window not go away until you pressed esc. Other examples auto pilot failure, and lag. These are but a few of the reasons why a macro will run maybe a few times then stop because something is not exactly where it was supposed to be. The people saying they are making millions every day and night are not telling the whole story. But they did get you guys really fired up that they were doing something to advance fast than you. The only thing that the macro is good for is saving some stress on your wrist that you use your mouse with. It does do a decent job at moving ore from the cargo hold to a container. But it still has to be carefully watched because it will crap out when you least expect it to. You can't reliably even make new cans because of the randomness of the distance and postion of the new can, even using the scanner. So bottom line its not a real problem and the people trying to use it are spending a lot of time writing scripts that will die very easily. The biggest killer of the macro script is the warning windows that pop up on everyones screen from time to time. It makes macros useless. If anyone tells you anything different they are liars........... BTW don't spend the money on the one that is for sale on e-bay, from other sources I have its just as bad. The guy that bought it was getting a free one at another site, he was really angry that he had spent the money ( $100 ) for it. |

here we ve got a confessing macro user. on eve player boards. just test my theory on him. shouldn t he be banned within days if ccp takes this seriously? (and it s no excuse that he is a noob and doesn t know how to get rid of the warning boxes. if those are the way ccp is trying to keep macros under control, |
