Are suicide gankers a 'bad thing' ?

Friznit	Posted - 2006.09.07 23:10:00 - [1] My hauler alt just got whacked outside Jita by a bunch of 4 day old caracal pilots with names such as ewsdfdg326 and sdflksd254. Clearly these are short lived toons, soon to be replaced with new ones when their sec status gets too low. The hauler pilot who bimbled in to collect the loot was one cvbnjsd564. All in npc corps, and all nor more than 4 days old. Quite possibly all the same person using trial accounts. I was just wondering is this is considered a legit tactic or whether it is a 'ebil against the TOS' type thing? Presumably almost impossible to track and hit these guys with the proverbial ban stick. Shame that even high sec space is no longer safe for new characters to conduct simple trading though.

If you got taken down by 4 days old alts, you must have been hauling afk and quite frankly, even in empire, that would be your own fault.

Yes, I heard that it is an exploit to recylce alts like this... but I still LOL at you for allowing them to kill you by not using instas or a t2 indy!

If you want to suicide gank in high sec and accept the actions you have no problems. It's the same as cycling alts for use as illegal goods runners ================================================

Suicide ganking, in and of itself, is NOT an exploit. Recycling the alts once they lose security status is an exploit. Petition them SPECIFICLY on the "recycled alt to avoid security lose problems" point. Don't stress the suicide aspect of the attack, as that is legal. I'd say petition them now, so the GMs can see that the chars do exist atm. He may suceed, but he'll surely be spotted by the authorities doing so. Recycling alts for any reason like sec status loss = trying to die and rebirth youself into a new, yet the same, person. Its a exploit. All you have todo is read a few stickes to see that. Fist time that said it was when Miner hauler alts were used. Thus the No train on trial acts on many skills.

This would fix it, if done with alt's of a main account then they can be banned as it's an exploit.
