Hi.
After bumping into Chribba the other day in Amarr I got to thinking how long it's been since i'd seen another 03 player in game.
So I was wondering, how many of us are still playing Eve? I signed up with this char on 27th July 2003 and have been active ever since. Sometimes I might not log on for a few days and some days I just get back into the game and spend the whole day on it. I can't see that I would ever quit having invested so much time into the game.
I would love to hear from other 03 players and would be particularly interested if anyone had some demographics on the player ages in Eve.

Considering how few active players there were in 2003 compared to the years since, it should come as no shock that you don't see them too often. Pair that with the natural falloff that any game has, and I think it's more shocking that we still see any at all. |

Still here still (kinda) play, original owner of 2 03 accounts and still CEO of my (pretty much useless) 03 corp, I don't play as much as I used too but do keep the skills rolling, with the skill que changes I don't have to log on as much so I now play even less.
I could care less about a vet station, I would prefer an indestructible frig or shuttle with no hardpoints for weapons (only indestructible if piloted by a 03 vet?), something like the Leopard maybe.? Would suck to be perma-scrammed in low/null for hours at a time if caught at an inopportune time though, only to be saved by DT.
P.S. If CCP sees this, could you please look into fixing players like myself who have a borked employment history, at least have our birthdays show, if I can see it why not others as well.? |

yes 2003 is the year eve was launching i remember aura and below the asteroids song but could never pendraise the ships back then, also theres no need to insure your ships if you plan to pvp, maybe inferno expansion was exeption, anyway 2003 is a lucky number for eve because sum of numbers 2003 is 5 and 5 is the maximom skill level for anything in eve |

I my first EVE online account was in 2003, but no ideas what the email address is, or password. Let alone what my character was called. 
My connection was with "Wanadoo" (Orange) back then, with Ultra crap connection using Dial-up. I think i manage to get into the game four times, constant loss of connection, then gave up. It wasn't the game it was my dial-up connection.
Then 3months later i got NTL (Virgin Media), i had forgot about EVE online. My friends got me playing World of Warcraft beta.
This character is still a baby, under a year worth of game time. But i don't get much time to play, but when i do, i really enjoy EVE  |

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Titans on fire outside "The Alamo" of NOL-M9. I watched massive Super Capital fleets glitter in the dark near the BKG-Q2 gate. All those moments will be lost in time... like tears in rain... Time to die.

back after a 3yr+ hiatus
bout 170 mil sp on this char, slightly more on alt, both very specialised.
Main issue for me seems to be motivation in working out how to play the game again (prior to joining a corp), with no real need to grind for isk / ships etc. |

A few breaks in sub over the years but still here. Played in Beta7 (the last big wave) and rolled this character on 2003.05.10 00:52:00, a little over 3 days after launch.
I have quite a few old friends, former corp members, and random enemies on my watch list from 2003 to 2006, and am happy to see many of them still logging in.

Have the same problem here, although my employment history probably wont show anything other then that I'm EXTREMELY stubborn in staying in my corp, I do occasionally get funny looks for it being broken and showing up empty
Fun fact about this char, it was well planned for release while I was playing the beta.

Gallente - Intaki - Reborn
The "reborn" option gave a "please insert Jove unlock code" dialog,
and would not let me continue at all.
Still feel occasional annoyance at having this pre-planned char run into a bug on launch day, where I had the choice of selecting one of the other options, or not playing at all.
Return varied color to Gallente ships! not everything looks good in DARK GREEN!

Wait seriously? I thought of doing that, but if i actually did, my char would forever show me as starting NOW instead of nearly 12 years ago?

Wait seriously? I thought of doing that, but if i actually did, my char would forever show me as starting NOW instead of nearly 12 years ago? that would be INCREDIBLY annoying.. WTF?
That actually sounds amazing!
Imagine the possibilities, you could pretend to be a clueless newbie flying around in something blingier than you should be, but in reality you're fully kitted out and insanely skilled!

It shaved about 3 years off of mine... which had it's uses after awhile. I think my employment record still leads people to believe this character started in 2006.

2004 for Graelyn here, a week after launch for my first, Grae. Picked it up in a big shelf box at the base exchange at Misawa AB, Japan.
Game was ****. Broken as hell. No documentation. No one would help you learn. Quit after a few weeks. Came back a few months later and caught the illness proper.
