Today an operation was conducted by Elite members of CODE. and supporters Goonswarm Federation, also with the help of our spies; mainly one Veers Belvar
The operation was to take out all Anti-Ganking Intel channels. I'm happy to report this operation was a success and the tears are starting to flow

Within twenty minutes of the original owner of the channel regaining control (through completely fair in-game means), real life threats of violence are starting in it again :(

IRL I'm a health professional in training. A healer of the sick. In game I play much the same role, but with a greater emphasis on spiritual sickness. I heal minds and souls in game. So I role-play somebody different in-game, you see? My in game self is even more of a good person. I don't volunteer nearly as much time (that's not to say I don't do it at all, I do) to helping people IRL as I do to helping in this game. |

I'm sure we can open this up for a wider discussion, say on reddit and see what people think about someone "keeping their planes safe in the air" acting out as a suicide bomber with obligatory followup griefing in a computer game where it's not even an obviously intended game mechanic and you have to carve out your own niche to do it. People would also be happy to know that these individuals go to an extreme extent to drive their point home and infuriate their in-game victims. I think many actual normal people would find this quite disturbing and never fly with this individual if they had a choice. |
