And why would he help orchestrate their destruction - all of the insurance deals weren't even finalized at the time of the attacks. He had to fight in court for a couple of years due to that fact, to collect any insurance. Insurance money, coincidentally, which he is using all of to build the new buildings going up in the WTC site. All office space again. So he'll be holding the lease on new buildings, comprising several million square feet of office space that haven't been bringing in any money for the last several years. I fail to see how your insurance quip even bears any semblence of a conspiracy. Don't get me wrong, Silverstein is a friggin' weasel of a human being. But that's pretty far from lending any credence to your theories on the buildings going down for insurance money. And lelani (sorry for spelling) - please, before posting, do some research. Not just watch a politically skewed internet video. Learn a bit about physics. A couple of people already pointed out some rather eductional sites with the metling point of steel, the burning temperatures of jet fuel, among others. It doesn't take very much of a net loss of structural integrity to a steel support beam to result in it buckling under the immense pressure of a huge skyscraper. More than enough heat was generated by these fully fueled jetliners exploding, to eat away at the integrity of those beams. No second shooter, no grass knoll, no moon-looking soundstage in southern california housing Neil Armstrong, nothing near that fancy and pretty. Some suicidal Islamic extremists did some homework, learned a good bit about science among other things, hijacked a couple of planes, and crashed them into WTC to bring down buildings that are considered a major financial center of the Western world - to make their political statement. They did this, because smaller bits like the bombing of the USS Cole apparently didn't get our attention for more than a few seconds. Ive seen companies blow up buildings and it takes days to do all of it. And that dude gets it done in a few hours? He admits it. In the show, they reference the cellphone calls the passengers on the Shanksville plane made, while apparently at 30k feet or so, cruising altitude or nearby it. It is doubtful that the passengers, of the first three airplanes atleast, suspected that their planes would be used as weapons. There was a time when hijackings were fairly common, most people simply thought that "if we sit here and don't cause a problem, then they will just fly us somewhere like Cuba or Libya or someplace like that, and we will make it back just fine, OR we will land and some crazy special forces guys will come and get us all killed. When passengers on flight 93 realized that the hijackers would use the plane as a weapon, they attacked the hijackers and caused the plane to crash. Wonder why they haven't tried to do this again? Because they know that if someone starts something on a plane, the people will most likely risk their lives to keep them from controlling the airplane. This is why they have gone back to trying to use explosives to bring down airliners again.

And te reason they don't let you use mobile phones on planes is to encourage you to use their ú2/min onboard ones. the threat of mobiles interfering is apparently minute, and only really present if everyone were to leave their phone on.
