Agree with the OP...
Getting a decent fight these days is as difficult as getting a T2 BPO.
I miss the days when I went out with my malediction to patrol the Delve-A2 pipe and had challenging engagements with CA pilots who had the same attitude in mind. With the rediculus price of T2 stuff everyone's too afraid to lose something and will only engage when victory is guaranteed by outnumbering or outgunning the enemy.
* POS, :sigh: this really ruined alot in EVE, a supersafespot that makes the 'lack of PvP' problem just worse. Risk vs reward is way out of proportion here: The time, efford, man-power and cost of putting a POS up is way way way way way much lower than blowing that POS up. POS just ruined allaince vs alliance warfare, reducing it to who has more RL time to spend and who is more patient to 'wait it out'.
* Tactical balance is also broken: Empire/Low Sec => Attackers advantage (you cant defend your self and have to wait till you are scrambled and jammed and f up firmly) 0.0 => Defenders advantage (POS... need I say more?)
Thats also why we see ppl in this thread claiming everything is alright and others claiming "no wai, its f up".
* Gates are borked, getting into a system should never be a problem getting out should be. Jumping into a system should send you out at a random location instead of a predictable one, camping gates has always been an issue and never got looked at by the devs.. its boring for both parties (except lamers who only care about kill mail count) and encourages alt usage.
* Instas, well if gates were not borked this wouldnt have been an issue really.
* Sniping & fleet battles... booooooooooooooooooooooring! instead of nerfing it, it got boosted with T2 long range ammo. Devs really have no clue what the f they are doing.
* Imbalance between ship class', we have too many anti-frig class ships and no anti-BS or anti-capital class ships. This makes fleets end up with 150 BSs (pwnmobile anyone?) sniping each other.
* Various balance issues with ships and modules, Tuxford is not enough for the job.. open your eyes CCP!
* Various bugs that ruin your evening (complex got bugged and 10 ppl wasted a whole evening for nothing, GM Ginger tells us its a feature, clueless GMs 4TW?)
Oh well I came back after 3 months and got immediately dissapointed... I'll check from time to time again until my subscription runs out. Those who think the game is alright and fine, have fun until you get bored of your killmail collection and want some real challange
