RISE is an old alliance and a new alliance all in one. Most entities in RISE have a long history in EVE and been a part of 2 of the largest and oldest alliances in EVE. However it was decided a new start was needed for those 2 alliances since over time they got a bit like grumpy old men.
That new start was RISE.
To be able to know each other better it was decided that Outer Ring should be called our home to start with. However during our forming YouWhat had lost Cloud Ring to goons and D2 and assorted neighbours were in the middle of the struggle to take it back. RISE helped out to fight with what we thought was our brothers in YouWhat. The d2 war machine finally liberated Cloud Ring.
When the dust had settled the question was asked, who should be the caretakers of Cloud Ring. RISE got the opportunity to do this. Most of us had just barely moved in to OR and other logistical moves had/had yet to be done.
RISE recognized that Cloud Ring had a long history or rather alot of entities had a long history in Cloud Ring. All corps and pilots having star bases and presence in Cloud Ring prior to RISE assuming control were given a chance to stay in Cloud Ring. Standings were set accordingly. YouWhat were given docking rights, full mining access and access to the complex. What merely changed was the name of the stations. In return a mutual defence pact was agreed upon if Cloud Ring would once again come under attack.
At this time Outbreak was bored down in Fountain fighting BoB and was looking for new hunting grounds. A pilot within the RISE ranks made several remarks to Outbreak pilots of a smack'ish nature. Outbreak decided that RISE would be a good target. They moved into Outer Ring. A number of superbly fun fleet fights followed and both RISE and TOXIN had a smack free and fun experience. Even if RISE were often on the losing side we were improving and even sometimes we got the luxury of looting cans. Kudos to Outbreak, the battles have been fun.
This however resulted in RISE relocating alot of assets to fight Outbreak in Outer Ring. When we were full occupied with toxin, Youwhat decided to backstab us. They made an official announcement just minutes prior to attacking XZH and RISE still had YouWhat at blue.
This is the history what the future holds no one knows...

I was asked by Rise to perhaps give some light regarding Outbreaks goals in this campaign. prolly because I am so damn fuzzy and cute 
Outbreak was formed and planned to be one big funfest. Majority of the players were tired of the whole alliance game, politics, blue's on overview etc.
Some call us pirates. I wont sit here and try and make us into saints, it's all a matter of opinion. We shoot anyone, anywhere. If that is someones opinion of a pirate, then we are.
We don't hate Rise, there is no old hate buzzing between us. After our fun with BoB various reasons and the fact that the Rings are close to Fountain, made us pick you as a target. We are not here to change the politics of the region, we don't care what the Map says regarding who rules the region, we just came to blow stuff up.
There has been good fights indeed. The smack has been minimal and I encurage anyone in Rise that gets smacked to contact Outbreak leadership. Me is fine, I like getting mails.
So, at the moment we are here, our goals are our own and simple. We want stuff to go boom.

I bet D¦ is cringing at the thought of ever having the youwhat corps in their ranks. Your not doing yourselves any favours with this kind of tactic, and tbh what do you hope to achieve? I doubt the rest of the north is going to sit back and allow this to happen.
Its a shame outbreak is even mentioned in the same post tbh, sounds to me like they just there to have fun, and shouldnt be tarred with the same lame brush stv n co deserves.

What utter and total crap. First off, you had a warning about our change of standings by Turkantho (D2 high command) two weeks before we actually resetted them. While we still were blue to each other, did we build up a single pos? Did we use our standings to sneak in equipment and prepare for an invasion? Nope, we didn't, we actually removed everything to have a "clean" start, with the exception of 2 POS we have in the system for at least half a year.
Second point, and I was very careful about that being gangleader back then, we announced to each and every Rise member and in XZH local (multiple times) that we now are hostile to you. We didn't fire a single shot on anyone who didn't know that we were no longer friendly, we didn't gank you while you still had us on blue, or anything else. When we jumped into XZH with our small fleet, you had a bubble camp there, so I really doubt this came as much of a surprise.
No kind of whatsoever backstab has happened at any point of time...

Actually it was kinda funny, i was moving the CEO of our executor corp out to CR yesterday without BM's and i cam across this outbreak guy in an EOS with a bubble 60 KM or so from gate but i was like 100 KM from him due to my warp in postition. I commented on his nice ship in local and continued to have a pleasent chat with him for a few mins before moving on. It was all good and clean and no ego blowing or smacking. If this is an example of Toxin as a whole, i must say ye seem like a good bunch of people. Sure ye are shooting us, with our enemy and hiding in their POS from time to time but its good to see honorable people out these ways now.  |

Actually, you're wrong. Over the course of about 5 days myself and WildCard held talks about YW and Rise livnig and working together in CR. Some very generous consessions were made by Rise on behalf of YW such as full docking rights, allowence to establish POS's in CR, and access to ratting, mining high end and plex time. This was agreed on by WildCard on behalf of YW and myself on behalf of Rise. Then a week later all this **** happened. Next time get your facts right before posing.  |

There's a bit of a smear job in this post by RISE against YouWhat. Saying that YouWhat "backstabbed" RISE is just good old fashioned rhetoric and not at all an accurate representation of the facts. I think that YouWhat's bid for their home has been an honorable undertaking thus far, and I would caution RISE against stirring up needless animosity.
As for Outbreak and Boldyn's post, he's got it mainly right. The one bit I would add is that Outbreak is a new corporation, and has done a lot of growing. Veteran pvp'ers looking for a well run alternative to BoB have been joining in gaggles and droves, and our challenge in integrating the new pilots is only exceeded by our challenge in realizing our increased potential. Towards that end we might be flexing a bit to see how much damage we can do, and because RISE looked at us funny, we've picked them as a target.
Things are more organic than that, of course. The campaign against BoB in Fountain was great fun, but things started getting seriously weird at the end, and coupled with the fact that we were getting tired and BoB was able to rotate corps in and out to maintain freshness, well, it was time to move on. We needed a place to replenish our supplies for a bit, but I didn't want to make the entire corporation relocate - and lo and behold, here's an alliance that fits faction ravens, smacked us, and is attempting to control multiple regions but has the pvp cohesion of melting butter. Hmmmm, looks good, I thought, and a plan started coming together.
If RISE survives in Cloud Ring I don't doubt that we will have done them a huge service by making them tougher. If they don't survive there, well they probably won't be happy with the results, but by keeping things in perspective they will hopefully have a good time along the way. One good way to do this will be to avoid calling their enemies names on the forums. Comparing their pvp abilities to everyday household objects that aren't scary works for me - try doing that instead.

Point taken and understood, but one thing still confuses me. If toxin are popping of Rise just for fun, which is fine, then why are ye in support of YW at the same time? I think this is why some people view ye as mercs since ye operate in the same gangs and from the same POS in XZH. The 6-10 one mainly. |

yep my intention was to describe the history in a less bias way i could still being part of the conflict.
the fact still was d2 warned us that youwhat were to attack us. this was however not in official way rather it was told by old friends to a ceo of a rise corp. we were not to act upon rumours. we however confronted wildcard and he again said that youwhat was not to attack and that the presense in CR was for common defense. we therefore considered the matter closed after this.
however vaches harsh words are just the thing i was trying to avoid by posting in the first place..

As far as we are concerned we aren't going to touch this conflict with a 10AU barge pole, both alliances are blue, they can sort out their differences in cloud ring

well plz explain to me then cause i fail to see the honour...
D2 left cloud ring. you what was formed since a few corps didnt want to leave CR. You what screwed up by not even fueling their pos:s and they lost sov. to goons. d2 rise and hell of alot of other alliances had to bail out youwhat adn kick goons out. after that Rise were asked to caretake CR youwhat didnt speak up at that time. of course rise would have thought twice if youwhat had claimed CR at that time. youwhat knew they screwed up and sat silent. they even pledge common defense pact with RISE to aid in the defense.
a few weeks down the line romours stir up that youwhat arnt happy about RISE. RISE contacts youwhat again. youwhat again swear to commonly defend CR. a few weeks down the line again we are happily fighting toxins and youwhat see the chance to "reclaim" CR. a few rise pilots stumbles upon a thread on eve-o saying youwhat will now have nbsi.. abit cryptic way of sayign we war dec RISE. 10minutes later youwhat has a fleet at our doorstep..
where is the honour in this?

If Rise loses Cloud Ring it's not the biggest loss for them as they have outer ring and can expand into syndicate and maybe fountain. But Youwhat's defense of CR seemed to eb a bit lacking before. Does Youwhat have the resources to even hold CR? I think D2 must have had the same concern otherwise it'd probably have been given back to Youwhat.
Seems to me Rise was given CR because D2 didn't want it, wanted it in friendly hands there were concerns about Youwhat's ability to hold it. If Youwhat takes cloud ring can they keep it? The majority of the north is one big set of friendly alliances. Does this infighting between Youwhat and Rise weaken northern hegemony?
It's sad when allies turn on each other when there seems to be little or no reason thngs couldn't have been settled diplomatically. Oh well. Hope everyone involved has fun.
