While it saddens me to hear that my Minmatar breathern are the targets for the MC, I do not fault them for taking the contract, it is what they do. It is their purpose in life. Perhaps after this war, Namtz'aar could hire the MC to help cleanse EVE of some Amarrian loyalists? My corp members have been targeted at times by members of the Namtz'aar K'in due to us being a mercenary pirate corp (mostly pirate :P) and I do not fault them either. Being the Official Carebear Pirate and Director of Bondage, I can't help but support Corsets and Carebears! Mmm... bondage... shibari... yarrr! *ahem*
Anyways I want to wish all involved gl, hf looking forward to the fraps, and if you must, then die with honor. Also that the Hogan banner kicks ass! XD Oh yeah, to answer the question of if that was a battleship or a trashcan, it's both! that's the beauty of the phoon, it is the most versitile battleship around, able to fill multiple roles as the situation calls for and being made from recycled materials, it is quite inexpensive to own and environmentally friendly, if not too friendly on the eyes. Love and battle are both intimate acts, both done in heat and sweat with the sound of cries echoing in your ears. And really - who is to say which is the more dangerous? -The Paladin Valeria- |

The main thing that this war has done is involved a third party into the fray.
BEHOLD, [^LAG^] -and ride upon wolves!
Had a nice roughly 10 v 10 in Hedal a night or so ago outside a station. 2 of our guys ctd'd straight off when they warped in, but it was a great fight. Sure, both sides reported having about 4 fps but it was a great fight. Then there was the 20 v 20 in istodard where half our force was engaged by a force of [^LAG^] upon warping in rendering them stupified and soon either in capsules or in need of Preparation-H. Our effective force of 20 became 10, then the remainder was soon 3. I am sure once [CCP] war dec's [^LAG^], Molden will be a much better battleground.
Mind you, at the time of the 20 v 20, a buddy in Providence was listening to VETO sing to the 100+ locals and experiencing smooth gameplay the whole time. I am not sure who had it worse, us or them.
CCP, please rid Molden Heath of [^LAG^] so when NMTZ does try to engage, we have a 0.4% chance.

No, I'm not leaving EVE, Trey. Btw, have you seen Single White Female? :LMFAO:
Appologies to MC for the rant in Hedal, pressure in pod affected by faculties. Much relieved being podded by Otto right after. Low-Halo's caused a brain infection. This new clone is free of manufacturing defects so only the usual ones remain.

Nice fights again in the last two days.
I'm still happy to sacrifice ships into this one, although as per futhers comment above I must say, I'm not trying anymore to fit my ships anti-Megathron, anti-HAC or anti-Interceptor:
I fit them Anti-Lag.
And those fittings make lowly Thukker duct factory workers cry. --

That fight was just plain silly. Barely 60 in local and eventually 40 at the gate. When you guys warped in, my other FC was already saying it was a slideshow. When I landed with the other half of our fleet, I somehow maintained about 3-5 FPS but I had people dropping and locking up as well. It happened earlier that morning in a smaller fight with barely 15 people in it over in Hedal.
It's sad that the most fearsome opponent in the game is the game itself.

Edited by: Elsebeth Rhiannon on 18/09/2006 12:57:06 I'm told (by the most weird parties!) that they'd love it if I posted to this thread. Love to be loved... I have been away for a couple of days, which is why the uncharacteristic silence.
I really have nothing much to add, and certainly nothing official, but since some people have asked who the... who are the NMTZ, let me belatedly give you the short description: Namtz'aar K'in [NMTZ] is a Minmatar-based multi-racial ((RP friendly)) alliance working for the defense of Minmatar regions against criminals, usurpers, and other evil things. We do not claim space, or operate from NBSI policy.
Other than that, I hear space has been neatly active lately, and despite FTL network failures at unfortunate times also some fine engagements have happened. Personally, I feel that it is, in many senses, an honor to fight such a famous unit, and hold no hard feelings towards MC pilots. I hope I can join in the fun in the next couple of days.

This is a great point and one I agree with completely. I was really looking forward to some of these engagements, but being a part of that 20 on 20 something in Isto was a real eye opening experience. I remember asking on TS, "You guys think they are suffering the same lag as us?" and "I can't see a damn thing, but I think my targets are dying", and "Oh I'm sort of taking some nice damage now!"

I knew when it took 4-5 seconds for me to see any movement on the screen when we jumped in on you guys, my Domi was not going survive, so I just tried like hell to lock primaries and do my part. I got a MC HAC kill and part of of a Raven kill, but oh man...was the lag bad.
I clicked auto-pilot, but the command was never accepted and so I remember asking if anyone could see what happened to my ship.
Boom.

I was part of that fight in a Brutix and it's no lie when I tell you I had a frame every 10 or 15 seconds, my client is a dual core AMD 3800+ with 2Gb ram and a 7600GTX video card so it wasn;t client side. I've been in much bigger fights and never seen anything like it. I don't know how I got on kills, even podded someone with it or even survived. What a shame a potentially fun battle was trashed by such poor mechanics. Even after on the gate when the battle was done there would be spikes of slideshow activity. I really hope things changes for the better.

Yeah, I remember you. You were that Domi that was about 50km off the gate jamming everyone while your damn T2 drones ate Karmic's Raven. I think the main reason you didn't get out of there alive was by the time I called you, a lot of the lag had cleared up (at least for me) and pretty much every MC left on the gate (about 14 of us) got a piece of you.

I hate that song. I mean... seriously HATE it. They play that frakkin song at least five times a day on the radio here in Germany (which is one reason why I just listen to Pandora these days). I hope a giant Space Cow lands on your ship and crushes you now. -
