This is not good for the game.

The Molden Heath node is actually run on an old IBM PS2 386mhz with 2mb of Ram and a 2400baud modem connecting through AOL2.0.

It's far worse than Provi. It's even worse than BWF. Isto must be on the same node as Jita and Oursulaert. A 30-pilot gang brings it to a crawl.

Yeah its been a good experiance. Well for those who like PvP and for those who dont. Best get ready to learn or stay docked and hide. Me personally Im going all out Baaaannnnzzzziiii Like today. Damn 3 carriers plus support to take out a small force of 7 of us and we only had 2 bs's. But what the hell in for a penny in for a pounding.
Must admit I am learning a lot and have run some good ops too. Much more fun too than your average Pvp engagment in MH with pirates running about and hiding in stations.
These Pvp classes are gonna come in very handy when it comes to pirate hunts again him up top best help them as we now have a bunch of miners and industrialists learning that shooting stuff can be fun.
BTW hats off to strat for the 3 carrier gank man that domi was lucky. We got a good whooping but hey at least we gave it a go. When the carrier came in we thought it was just the one so ok gang keep pew pewing. Over TS bum 2 carriers on my km . Ummm guess im gonna die then. heheheeh
To anyone in gelf who wants to sell duct tape Isto has a big market order.

Yeah was a good fight, glad you didn't see it coming . Troops got in all kinds of trouble after he mwd'd after the phoon and got our of remote rep range, down to 15% armour at one point before we got him back in range. I think both sides learnt a lot and will continue to

You're such a bastard... :)
I know it was a bit evil with the carriers and all, but we had them online and felt this was the best way to escalate this situation into a fight: give you guys the idea you got the upperhand and then BANG 3 carriers and fighters worth 5 Blasterthrons of DPS added to our forces. :) ------------------------------------------

Pilot Popsikle Checking in.
System: Istodard Location: Top Secret SafeSpot Shiptype: @$#%#$%^@##
Greetings Pilots,
Today we have been at war for a full week. We have seen many new things, some of us have been involved in combat ops almost 18 hours a day, and some of us have lost our ships and pods numerous times. Some of us are tired, hungry and battered, but we are all still FREE. On Numerous occasions we have defended our homes, and sent MC gangs running for gelf (which I gather is thier base of ops) and have had spirts passed to all.
This only goes to show our resolve. We shall not stand down, no matter the odds, we shall not give up our FREEDOM as Matari, and NO FORCE shall be allowed to spread darkness in our space. We have not stopped our operations of fighting the darkness during this week, as we have still had routine pirate hunts. There is no force that could bring us to allow MATARI space to be enslaved once more, not by the Amarr, but by the darkness that threatens it.
We will continue to fight, stand tall, and stand proud of our ability to fight and compete with the best known killers in the universes. We will protect our space, as it is our destiny to. May this be a light to all those souls out there, that are battling the darkness as I write this message. May you stand proud, knowing they can never challenge your destiny, may we all unite and rejoice once these raids are over. Most of all, may we all honor each other, and not be to stubborn to ask for help if needed.
Let this stand as a testiment to the unifications of many tribes under one banner. Let this stand as a testiment of Matari resolve. Let our enemies KNOW we shall NOT FADE INTO THE NIGHT, We will fight, and we will survive.
Let this be known to all.

Well lass, I do have to say that defending freedom for nigh on most of those Eighteen hours from yer deep deep Deepspace safespots is I guess one form of freedom . . . . and "making the MC run to Gelfiven" a nice piece of humour I have to be sayin', don't cha' know. Now, boring them back to Gelf because of inability to engage till numbers are . . . much more to your liking . . . *grins* thats a bit closer to whats been happening. Oh and lass, should I mention what happened to all of the NMTZ POS stations within 2 hours of the CONCORD papers being signed or should you? Na, thats part of the "great freedom". *shakes head*

Edited by: Elsebeth Rhiannon on 20/09/2006 21:55:43 I think it should be declared a rule on all public discussions of wars that whichever party first resorts to "you all just sit on stations / safespots" immediately loses the argument. ;) Even when it's true.
From what I have heard after getting back to civilized communications, it is (was?) a nice one as far as wars go, and we all learned things; now I suggest let us not spoil the good impressions by lowering ourselves to pirate-style "did not, did too".
Oh, and the above is just myself talking, despite the standard sig - offical commentary from Gradient and possibly from the alliance on the past week will follow one from MC, if any appears.

I must admit, MC - good war. I had more fun this week than usual, despite limited time. not often we get to go up against quality opponents. We have learned much from you, and you have only served to strenghten us. We should almost thank your employers for this opprotunity.
That haveing been said, its true there were parts of this war that were back and forth - both NMTZ and MC seemed to engage and fall back as needed, so lets not get into a discussion about that. we have previously stated that we dont regard you as a foe we must fight to hurt, so dont be suprised if we didnt engage you when it wasnt in our favor. Matari warfare, after all. Need more be said?
The fact that at times it was a slow war is the result of two mobile, "soft targets", neither of which willing to commit a major force to a large engagement ((especially with some of the lag problems both sides had)).
You guys specialize in POS takedown, so why bother to keep them up? we dont try to claim sovergnty with them, so at best you disrupted a couple side isk projects. we wernt about to let you destroy them, after all :) Simple economics - loosing those pos's would hurt us more financially than takeing them down for the duration of the contract. We would have had to be insane to leave them up, and give you hard targets that we would have to defend. No point in giving the enemy free kills, after all.
--- "They saw the long road, the harder road. The road that would ensure what we had gained in the vicious rebellion would not be squandered... our freedom." - Republic Fleet Admiral Kanth Filmir |

heh! Yeah, just tickled our collective fancy when we read the RP version of events so I thought I would reply for us in kind. In a way its a smart method of playing, denying targets be they static or mobile. ^^

I read somewhere that Kali will be featuring turn-based combat to increase immersion.
Must say it was interesting to see what the Matari consider "warfare" and how they go about it. Had a blast, managed to get a lot of my rustiness removed from me. Now I can't wait to get off this ****hole of an outdated node that's shared with Jita or some other laggy place. ------------------------------------------

Just want to say thks for the lessons in pvp we will use them in other situations now. It has been a good war for some for others not so good but in general no real smack a lot of manuvering about and some fun engagments.
I hope we fought better than many of your contracts did. At least we did come out to fight and when the fleet battles happened its a shame they were ruined by the duct tape failing to hold the node together.
Ive a lot of respect to you guys and would like to say to any potetial enemy you have. Undock you may lose some shipping but it will be worth it for the lessons you will learn and you may even be able to pop and kill some of the targets.
