Little status update with niggling facts and a little look back at the previous B&G's:
So far, assuming all confirmed show up, and all the maybe's show up, it looks like we'll be just shy of 80 participants. That is...quite a lot of people, actually.
The previous Beer & Gank, I believe, capped at 83, so that's of course the number we're aiming for. I know of a few people that haven't written here, but are planning to show up, so it's not much until we break the record.
A few anecdotes and tips for first-time B&G'ers, the reason some people are talking about making sure the bar is properly stocked up, is because we managed, last time, to empty the bar of draught beer. Much to the consternation of, well, everyone. In particular the UK attendees seemed somewhat nonplussed about it, and I have no doubt that the rest of the barhoppers (that must have felt rather left out among all the EVE players), weren't too glad either.
Fortunately, that was the perfect occasion to spring into action, the other tradition at B&G: White russians. I am not entirely certain whether or not we also managed to deplete the bar's supply of milk & Kahlua, but if nothing else, it's always fun to compare the White Russians of the different bars we've visisted.
As for time spent and so forth, I can't recall a B&G that ended before the sun was back up. It generally starts fading out at around 6-8 AM, usually with a core of about 10 people left, who decide to stop drinking and get something to eat...As any successful night on the town.
So be prepared for a long night, I suggest eating *before* you go to the B&G, have a good night's sleep before, so you're spared the shame of leaving early, citing "didn't get enough sleep" as your excuse. After all, someone has to eventually challenge myself and Tornsoul for the title of last man standing.

Well, being mid-october, expect it to get a bit nippy, in case you wish to wander outside.

Yup - We ran'em out of White Russians as well
And for comparing - While the barmaid was a trooper (putting up with the lot of us), White Russians definatly wasnt her force.
Not that it mattered that much around that time
