As in title. Maybe even change it to not be dependent on sov military upgrades. I think it is one of those things who never worked correctly |

There is no difference, having this upgrade in system or not. |

Upgrading a low percentage with an another low percentage doesn't make it 100%. |

So if you so good with math, tell me please what % should that be? I'm really hoping DEV will know. For now it looks like it is 5% when on lvl 5.lol |

For now it looks like it is 5% when on lvl 5.lol Let us just go with your assumption that having all of these increases you chances of a WH spawn by 5% and do a little more math and look at the other things that would affect this.
Adrie Atticus posed that the spawn rate is .029% and based on what I know about WH spawns that is correct, or very close to the actual.
Virtually all items in EVE increase a base factor or rate by a percentage.
.029% + 5% = .03045% in practice his small of an increase would be virtually undetectable. So lets put that into a perspective that is easier to understand. Lets say it takes "X" number of days for 1,000 WH to spawn naturally in your system. With these upgrades over that same period of time you would actually get 1000.3 WH spawns. See what I mean about it being undetectable.

Although that's ignoring a large amount of statistical methodology that would go into drawing a conclusion.

Probably I should make this more clear on very beginning. Amount of effort to get this upgrade to lvl 5 is considerably bigger than for example anchoring Encounter Surveillance System wich will give you 5% more income just from being in system. Taking this into account I believe Quantum Flux Generator need to be fixed/balanced/boosted, pick one or all. |

Edit: So let's assume your equation is right. Quantum Flux Generator is pretty much useless.
Your hypothesis is based on static connections (this data we can get). You forgetting about random connections from kspace to wh and wh to kspace and kspace to kspace (this data is unknown). And there is much more of them after recent changes done to wh spawn mechanic. Because of those random connections your theory going to bin right away.
Ah, one more thing. This upgrade have 5 lvl. To make your equation work (based on static connections) you need to add each level of upgrade.
I did exclude K-space connections because there is no data available and the increase in spawn rate could be given a random multiplier.
If you were to get 100% increase in signatures per level of the thing (I assumed 200% total) and if you want to double the figures due to the new hole mechanics, you are looking at:20 spawn chances at 0.3% each, or a significant increase compared to not spawning, but still a small chance.
Just because your imagination says "THIS UPGRADE GIVES YOU ALL THE HOLES!" it actually doesn't function as such. Is it a significant upgrade compared to not having the upgrade? Yes. Are you guaranteed wormholes every day? Statistically no.

technically you could apply some higher level models for this but....I am not volunteering to draw up a say hidden markov model on wh data from eve lol.

Not totally serious: just rat or mine a lot in a given system. You'll get more WH's than you know what to do with it. I know it's just perception, but it often seems like heavy ratting or mining results in more WH's. When I lived in Tenal, the best ratting systems always seemed to have a connection to some active WH, with hilarious results.

This is actually caused by wh players collapsing their static to find that HUGE RED DOT generated by ratters.heh |

@Adrie Atticus And your imagination tells you this upgrade is well balanced, yes?
It does what it says on the tin, at least it's accurate.
From balance point of view I really can't comment, why would you want constant wormholes in a system which has an ihub and potentially other sov upgrades? |

Devs have commented on this and if you did a search you would have found them in the multiple other places this has come up on the forums.
basically it just ups the chance that a hole will spawn in your system when it despawns in another there are only so many WHs and these upgrades don't make new ones just give you an increase in chance just more than a system w/o one and at the same time they have the same chance as all the other systems with the upgrade so its working just probably not as strong as you thought it did. |

@Adrie Atticus What part of description is accurate? lol And if you can't understand purpose of having something like that in system don't post in my thread please. |

"This upgrade increases the chance of a wormhole being present in the upgraded solar system."
It does exactly that. It doesn't say "guarantees wormholes" and it doesn't do that. It doesn't say "prevents wormholes from spawning" and it doesn't do that. It does exactly what it says and no one has posted that the module is not functioning properly.
Now, what's broken about the module as per your original post which should be changed? |

Description is correct not accurate.
As for someone posting so much on this forum, you should do more research. General impression about this upgrade is "not working/broken/etc."
And I also wrote "fixed/balanced/boosted" (in case if it's working like intended but it's not).
What could be changed.hmm Try to compare this to rest of upgrades anomaly/plex and ess and then tell me if you think it is well balanced even if it's not broken or better keep it for yourself, I'm not interested in your opinion anymore.
