Two quick things; Buddy answer and keys themselves.
* Buddy: These trials are not Buddy trials. You only get Buddy rewards for sending Buddy trials and having someone convert on those trials. If Buddy is your preferred thing, please use it! This something just a bit different.
* The codes are in Account Management, under Services>Voucher Center. There have been some issues with some browsers, the Web team is all over it right now.

I guess I just don't understand the new program then. It seems inferior to the existing buddy program in every single way, other than for player's who actually have no plans to subscribe and simply want a throw-away 'trial only' account. With the buddy program I can invite a RL friend, give him a PLEX, and he gets 51 days to try the game at no cost to me, and no limitations on his game play.
With this... I can invite a RL friend who can play a partially crippled version of the game for 9 days longer? Considering the one-time only voucer / 30 days only offer it just seems a trifle misguided?
Best of luck with the offer, I'm sure it'll get some folks in and interested, but it just seems the existing buddy program would be better for virtually everyone? If you have a friend who knows he wants to play the game, and is willing to pay for it out of the gate he does gain 9 'free' days, which is nice I guess?
Hopefully you guys aren't forgetting the Cerebral Accel. thingie that current buddy invite player's get, or has that offer already ended? |

If this is actually a code you can put anywhere, then I will make use of it. Many times I don't have the email address of a new aquaintance I might meet in the line of work, and wished I could just give them a code so they may join eve, and with this they may. |

It is. You generate a one-time only code from the account management site, and they can plug it into the site when they sub. One time only though, and the code must be redeemed this month, and expires next. |

He tried to use it, it keeps telling him the code is invalid or has been used.

Trebor. Please send me mail directly and let me see is something is afoot. We haven't errors like that so far.
Everyone with browser issues, please be sure to clear your cache. I got caught by the same thing, we had to deploy new code in Acct Management for these.

Yes, that is the same limitation as always with regards to paid accounts and trial accounts logged in on the same machine at the same time. That limitation has been there for years and will remain in place. |

It's always worked that way. If you intend to "spend" a PLEX, you get an extra free 9 days out of this offer, rather than the existing infinite invite buddy program. |

My initial reaction was pretty much the same. However, to give someone 51 days without limitations you need to know person you giving this invite pretty well not to screw each other. These codes you can give to complete strangers. And as i've found out there is significant demand for them. So, after thinking some more about this promotion, my opinion is CCP actually came up with another good idea for EVE. And its not like old invite scheme is going out, more options to try EVE is better. |

Then at best the statement is incorrect , and at worst it is a mis-representation or false advert. |

So what about players who been here from 2003 and on?, what are you going to give your current players?
This is a slap in the face CCP, For the people who have multiple accounts?, seams you just dont care about the players, YOU (ccp) just want new players. Tell me (CCP) do new players pay the bills? What are YOU (CCP) going to do for player who pay (REAL MONEY?) I belive that MONEY pays for your company payroll.

Yes, you can.
But, that trial account can't be logged in alongside your normal paying account. That's the traditional paid/trial login restriction. They can be used separately, just not logged at the same time.
Yes, you can use a PLEX(or any other valid payment method) and upgrade this account a paying account with up to 90 days. [However many days left on the 60 days + 30 days {or however many you buy}].
I do not believe Steam CDKeys are a valid payment method, I believe valid methods are Credit Card, PLEX, Paypal, and Web Money. I will verify this tonight and post further here.
We've seen good response so far with people taking and sending keys, please keep feedback coming. |

For current players, there are CA-1 and CA-2 implants, available now and shortly respectively. There is also a Christmas gift coming for all current customers.
There is also a "longevity" program in the works with Game Design and Customer Service. It's been a long time coming, I hope its what you are looking for.
Raving Fans is a good book, but really simplistic. We have 300,000+ people across a lot of localities and cultures. The three basic principles in the book are sound, but hard to apply across a diverse player base equally. That said, we're trying to move closer to a model like those principles. I think if you saw the way GM's and the Community Team are moving forward internally you'd be pleasantly surprised right now. |

All very true, except you only get ONE singular code per account. So unless you're running multiple paid accounts you can't give codes to more than one singular random stranger. Which was sort of my point. If it's a one-time only deal, that can only be redeemed this month... why all the other account limitations?
If CCP released this as a one-time only super buddy program offer, that'd make sense. But a one-time only offer thats only better than the existing program with a total stranger you don't know... but only one stranger... seems a bit off.
Obviously CCP will come back in a month or two and say it was a rousing success and they'll make it permanent and you can issue ten vouchers per month like the buddy program, but right now it just seems a trifle silly. |

Clear Communication has never been CCP's forte , just about every statement ever released by them has some degree of ambiguity and it's normally intentional. If nobody understands what your saying there's plenty of room to edit later.
