Xaphania Caldari State War Academy	Posted - 2006.09.18 22:10:00 - [1] With all the rabble about noob PvP and belt piracy, I decided to give it a go. Here is the result. The quick summary is with virtually no skill points and barely enough ISK to keep me in ships and modules (and no PvP training from a certain shameless self-promoter), I went around kicking some ass and, far more importantly, having fun PvPing from day 1. Well, from day 4 to be precise, assuming you don't count ore relocation . Also, it turns out piracy is FTW, and it's quite possible to be effective at it (and have a steady supply of targets) even when you're only a few days old and are soloing. It also proves, once again, that Eve is what you make of it. Have a look if you're interested. The site is fairly empty right now, I'll be improving the existing content, and will add more diverse content if it turns out people are actually interested Also, here is my Eve-Online version of the infamous lazytown video, which pretty much sums up piracy for me. I am running out of challenges and the temptation to play EVE the way it was meant to be played, at -10, grows weekly.

Anyway I'll probably be doing a 'normal' video of my adventures thus far shortly. Also, in answer to a question, this is an alt, but my main is a carebear, I had no PvP experience until playing as Xaphania, and have also never flown Caldari before. Also there is no contact between my characters in-game, so I'm effevtively a noob all over again . ---------- You are a Pirate!

I'd swap out the expanders for either nanofibres or if you've got CPU spare some Ballistic control units, and i'd swap out the extender for a booster. Contact me ingame if you need any tips ;] --------------------------------- Inappropriate signature for the forums -Eldo ([email protected]) But..but..it had boobies in it..Wrangler would have approved!

Contact me ingame if you need any tips ;] That expando-kestrel was from when I was scavenging to build up some capital - you wouldn't believe what people leave lying around. That was my first fight, and I didn't bother fitting it with expensive mods like a BCU the first time, as I knew nerves would get me killed even if my setup didn't. Since then I've been using a BCU and a 50mm plate to give it some extra survivability and firepower. I toyed with using a booster instead of the extender, but I need my cap to keep that AB going, and boosters suck it dry. You can see that setup in the other fights. ---------- You are a Pirate!

Not exploiting the game in any way. I am also exploring just what a noob can really do if they try, and am hopefully succeeding in showing that, as always, Eve is what you make of it.
